California Gumbernatorial Representative and Democratic Rep. Eric Swalell said members of the military told him he could be a “check” on President Donald Trump.

On Don Lemomom’s Show on Monday, Sulowell discussed the controversy surrounding a video of six Democratic employees urging service members to “reject illegal orders” from Trump.

The Department of Defense announced in X that it is launching a formal review into the alleged misconduct of Arizona Sen. Mark Kelly, a retired sea captain, appears in the video.

Swallel pointed out that the Trump administration was “informed” of itself by following Kelly’s phone call to resist “unlawful orders” and pointed out that other service members had acted as President.

“What gives me hope, and I talk to service members all the time, they tell me that I don’t appreciate it enough, and the public doesn’t appreciate it enough, and the members who will judge you are not checks, ‘members of the army once said to me, ‘We can be a check,'” said members of Swalwell.

Swalwell admitted with a lemon that Trump Adminian and, increasingly, Republicans are now telling service members to “Ignore the Constitution.”

“To me, the only reason you’re going to follow Mark Kelly is when he tells the military, ‘You don’t have to follow illegal orders – and you don’t if you intend to do illegal orders,'” Swalwell said. “If you don’t intend to make illegal orders, why do you care if someone says that?”
