Welcome to Derry’ recently shared a sensitive article about the beauty of one of its mysterious characters

Last week It: welcome to derywe learned important new information about Madeleine Stowe’s Character Ficre, a housekeeper in Heniper at Juniper Hill Asylum who befriends Lilly Bainbridge (Clara Stack).

Even when Lilly is no longer ill, she seeks out a kindly elderly woman for comfort and advice – and why not, considering the delly Hellscape models and the owners are sociable? However, every Stephen My Fan Wack watcher was written down to learn last night that Ingrid’s last name is “Kersh.” As in Mrs. Kersh, PennyWife’s manifestation of the original attack It the everly beverly actress. What exactly is communication? This week’s sixth episode lifted the lid on who Ingrid Kersh is and what her motivations are for being such a good friend to Lilly.

First, let’s look back at what we know about Mrs. Kersh from Welcome to Derry until now. We know that the Alibi of the accused killer is Hank Grogan (Stephen’s passenger); He was with her when the theater murder happened in the first episode. But she’s a married white woman – who makes her connection to Hank Taboo on many levels, especially in the small town of 1962.

We don’t know what her relationship with Hank will be now that he’s a ghoul. The show may pick back at the end. But so far, we’ve seen many more scenes between him and Lilly, starting with episode three.

Lilly’s wrap comes back for a while on Juniper Hill’s return after a crack at the grocery store – you may need your medicine ready again if you see a second with her Palnger before going.

“It’s going to be okay, love,” Ungrid assures him; Apparently, Lilly has had a lot of troubles with her, including her feud with Ronnie (Amnanda Christine), who happens to be Hank’s daughter.

“My father used to say that life is about the journey,” Ingrid continued. “But I think it’s about who you take that journey with. And if this helps mean as much to you as it sounds, you’ll find a way to do things one way or another.”

He also gives confirmation of this acceptance program: “If you tell me that you have seen the impossible, then I believe you. Most people, only believe what they can see with their own eyes.”

Ingrid Kersh says all the right things, and it happens again in the third episode when Lilly wants her again. The children begin to give in to Derry’s dark history, and Lilly seeks Ingrid’s understanding.

“I remember some kids losing ‘3s,” Ingrid mused, though she said she hadn’t thought about that in years. It was depressing. Times were hard then.

He encourages Lilly’s detective work, though: “Dad always said that with good friends by your side, anything can happen. And it sounds like you have them.”

In episode five, we learn that Ingrid A kind of masteryou’re married to a very unattractive person who cares too much about how his steak is cooked. Lilly rushes to him with the news that Matty – the missing boy at the beginning of the Welcome to DerryThe first episode – if somehow he escaped his long exile in the wild. Too bad, you’re pretty sure one of the kids from the theater, Phil, is still alive down there too.

Mrs. Kersh sees Lilly going to the police, but it is clear now that the authorities in Derry have no tolerance for children and their clown activities.

Mrs. Kersh, at least, is willing to listen, but she it continues Lilly doesn’t go to school to look for Phil. Lilly agrees, but as we saw in episode five, it wouldn’t be a show about PennyWise if the kids didn’t go into the underground tunnels and find a demown clown waiting for them.

Episode six begins with another pennyback cycle from the previous PennyWise cycle, “the sighting is 1935. We see a younger version of Ingrid Kersh leading a little girl down juniper hill to an asylum in a lowland because” That’s where the clown told you to meet him. ” A red balloon appears, which is not a good sign.

Before we see the full extent of the encounter, we go back Welcome to Derrypresent day. Lily has another one above, this time in math class when she sees her father’s dismembered body on her desk. “Who will help you now, you madman?” input pores.

Who else but Lilly’s best friend in the world, and maybe only friend now that you are away from Ronnie and the others? Ingrid doesn’t answer her door, but Lilly goes inside anyway. Living in Plain View is a photo album, full of wedding pictures and more; The images grow older like lilly flips by, until finally we arrive at 1908 and see a person clearly investigating the composition.

Ingrid’s father. The one with all those HomeSpun tips. This sinks in as ingrid suddenly appears; Instead of getting angry at the intervention, he gives the worried one a big sigh of relief, telling him, “Even if it’s okay.”

After that, Lilly sees another picture on Ingrid’s shoulder. It’s a man from 1908, this time in full PennyWise regalia. Ingrid sees him looking at him and asks, “Did you see him?”

Uh-oh. “You saw him! Oh, sweetheart, you did! You brought him back!”

Lilly, growing restless, examined the vintage clown costume and pointed white wig; It is exactly what graves wear when children walk in the shadow of their idols. Later, we saw that the same wig pointing outside the house. And that’s what the Girl Clown dressed as a 1908 flashback did in episode three.

“I thought he might show up that night. I was worried I might miss him!” Ingrid explains, admitting it was her at the cemetery with the children. Then, he tells Lilly what we’ve already guessed: “My father was a carnival clown. He called himself the PennyWife of the dance.” And, “I respected him, he was removed from me.”

We don’t understand more than that, but we can guess that his father was gray, the name is known It lore that Welcome to DerryThe creators have been teasing that they will appear. While pondering what “taken” means, we go back to the 1930s and see that Ingrid overheard a young patient, Mabel, saying to PennyWise, “There are no such things as pipes.”

It is recovering? Like, Ingrid’s long-lost Dad? With Mabel in tow, Ingrid heads to the basement, and it continues as expected. The sequence is recorded in black-and-white except for the Pops of Yellow (PennywiWife’s eyes) and red (balloon, Mabel’s blood), but despite the inclusion of a child played by Intrally Clown – all it takes is an appearance from “Papa” to get Ingrid on board.

Bob Gray appears to his daughter, whom he calls his “pumpkin” and says he misses her. “Don’t be afraid; I can explain everything. Just open the door and let me in! Everything will be fine!”

There’s a literal door that opens here, but you’d be wrong to walk into Ingrid Kersh then, too, exploiting her desire to be reunited with her beloved father again.

He explains: “I did what I did to see him again. “If only he could see me again as his periwinkle [Ingrid’s clown character]remind him of the love we shared, I know he will be able to break free. “

Even though Ingrid assures Lilly that she will never let anything hurt her, how can you believe the Word of a woman in 50’s clothes trying to reconnect with her dead father? “No one who dies here ever really dies,” Lilly tells him. “Come with me tonight and let me show you!” Lilly’s response to this invitation is to attack him with an alien dagger and get the hell out of there.

This certainly won’t be the end of the bob gray look Welcome to Derryespecially since we now know that Ingrid has been trying to wake up her father for 27 years – it all encourages the children to believe the unbelievable, because children are a sweet way to pennywise.

We’re glad Lilly realized in Derry, it’s better to be happy before trusting anyone – even someone who seems completely harmless. It’s a lesson Beverly Marsh must learn for herself decades later when she meets Mrs. Kersh in the middle IT: CHAPTER TWO.

New episodes of It: welcome to dery tune in Sundays on HBO and HBE Max.
