The hairy Philippines has the construction of a law that is being read between floods for flood control

The PCIJ report raised concerns about transparency, political favoritism and justice, noting that money was released before specific projects were identified.

President Ferdinand R. Marcos, JR. he has tried to reassure the public by promising jail time for those involved in flood control projects.

He previously announced arrest warrants for Mr. CO and several others linked to public activities that were anamalous using money in Buracan, north of the capital.

The former President flagged P545 billion in flood funds for flood spending starting in 2022, saying that about P100 billion in contracts went to only 15 contractors, including companies tied to political parties.

On November 26, Mr. Marcos said that many assets linked to the flood control were frozen, bringing the total up to P12 billion.

The Anti-Money Laundering Council said the cold assets include 3,566 bank accounts, 198 insurance policies, 247 motor vehicles, 178 real accounts and 16 wallet accounts.
