Northamptonshire manufacturer Pallite secures $1.6m cash loan

A Northamptonshire-based manufacturer of sustainable warehouse storage and packaging solutions is expanding its footprint after receiving £1.6 million in government-backed funding.

The Pallte Group, based in Wellingborough, has won new export opportunities in Europe, the US, the Far East, Australia and New Zealand, driving the need for more capital to keep up with growing international demand. The company has now secured a £1.6 million facility from KBC Bank, backed by the UK Export Wetters’ (Ukef) General Export’s Export’s (Ukef) General Expoep’s Expoep’s (GEF).

The new funding allowed PALLETITE to define the existing loan portfolio, scale production and invest in advanced ERP and IT systems to support operations on four continents. The business has already hired two full-time production staff, bringing its Willingborough workforce to 40, and expects to continue creating jobs in the UK over the next year.

Founded on sustainable engineering principles, Pallite produces lightweight, reusable rackiight for Warehouse, Packaging and Logistics products made from organic paper. A fiber content of more than 85%

The company’s innovation has received international recognition, including the environmental award of the association in 2022, the award of the king of business in the creation of innovations in 2023, and France’s 2025 Prix Stratégies LogIstique de L’Notion Detable.

With growing Exports and Global Warehouse raiders looking for more friendly solutions, Pallite approached Ukeef after advice from KBC Bank. Jo Archer, Ukef Excerm’s Finance Manager for Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Northromptonshire, helped identify the GEF route, enabling KBC to open up an efficient cash flow.

“We are showing the spirit of pioneering and excellence that we see among UK SMEs,” said Archer. “Using our existing export facility, we have helped them access the capital needed to meet international needs and fund local operations.”

Pallite Chairman Robert Augas said the facility was ‘very important’ to its global expansion plans. “This money allows us to invest in new markets, strengthen operations around the world and continue to support new and existing jobs here in the UK,” he said.

KBC bank relationship director Richard Whitehead added that the partnership with Ukeef allowed the bank to offer flexible solutions. “We look forward to helping more SMEs thrive on the national stage,” he said.

Ukef delivered a record £14.5 billion in funding last year, supporting 667 UK employers and helping to support 70,000 jobs across the country.
