Digital banks, Fintech players to launch RoadMap, other financial health systems

The Digital Banking Association of the Philippines (Diba PH) and Fintech Alliance PH will launch three initiatives to help the adwell vence of finance and digitization in the country.
Under the partnership, the two industry groups representing digital banking and financial technology (Fintech) players in the country will adopt the 2028 Digital Finance RoadMap and launch a financial plan for the industry and a financial survey for ASEAN finance.
“Through this collaboration, we are aligning Fintechs and digital banks around a well-shared vision of Finance – FILVANEVA, COMMUNICATION VISION AND Chief Innoivation and installation ofefiCer, said Statement on Wednesday.

This suggests that people have better control over their daily finances, are more motivated in the short term, and feel more confident about long-term planning, industry groups say.
“This partnership symbolizes our joint effort to move the conversation towards financial well-being,” said Angelo Madrid, President of Diba Ph and Chief Executive Officer of Maya Grade. “Recent research shows where Filipinos are finding confidence and where the gaps remain. Transforming these into design, regulation, and reporting is how we turn inclusion into a disproportionate impact.”

They said the RoadMap will focus on key issues such as open finance, shared credit data, cybersecurity, digital trust, and precision processing.
They also urged the BSP and the government to support policy, regulations, and infrastructure reforms.
“The Digital Finance RoadMap is a shared starting point,” President of Diba Ph Vice-Persic Oxerict Officer Offer Nate D. Clarke said. “Diba PH started this project to help the industry with practical goals while inviting the regulators and government partners to join us for guidance.”
“The RoadMap gives us a common language of what we intend to achieve, how to collaborate, and how to measure progress,” he added.
The two groups will also establish a financial system for the use of metrics and tools based on behavior in digital products.
Meanwhile, Diba and the Fintech Alliance said they plan to expand the financial health survey to cover Fintech organizations in the BSP organization. – Katherine K. Chan
