Notre Dame finished the regular season with a 10-2 record and was ranked No. 10 in the Penultimate College Football Raving Ranks heading into Conference Championship Weekend.

The Indian Irish did not play over the weekend as the football program is not part of any conference. Notre Dame was in the field through Byu and Miami and college football fans lit up the storms to enter the field and were given their victory by the typical Irish.

The tudelaine green wave and James Madison Dukes also made the final field as the best team to win the conference championship. The Duke Blue Devils won the ACC, but lost a five-game losing streak.

The college football world weighed in on Notre Dame being left out.

CFP committee chairman Hunter yur yurachek said the committee decided to skip Miami over BYU after the Cougars lost to the Big 12 Champion red. It was Bayu’s second loss to Texas Tech during the season.

Afterward, Yurachek said the Committee did a moderate comparison between Notre Dame and Miami and decided to keep a watchful eye on the bracket.

“You look at those two teams on paper and they’re almost equal in terms of their ability to plan, their regular opponents, their results and their regular opponents, but we had to go back and beat them,” Yurachek said. “I called the committee members to go back and watch that game because it was so late and we got an interesting debate from our coaches about how they looked.

“With that in mind, we gave Miami the nod over Notre Dame in that 10 spot.”
