The good stars of the show, Hudson Williams and Connor Storrie, dominate the social feed, having growing players who have slept more than the chemistry between their characters, two talented players and close to the NHL. As of December 11, A warm crack remains the third most-watched series on HBO max, behind only Mad Men and It: welcome to dery.
What is it about this Canadian show that has captured the public’s attention like few others have? Yes, it’s the weirdest love story on TV, and it shows the often insecure stories of LGBTQ athletes. The performance is good, as are the production values. However, without a doubt, it is the show’s depiction of sex, especially between Williams’ and Storrie’s characters, that draws in viewers. Their relatives feel different than those of the same sex Queer as people, l wordand, more recently, Heart Stopper.
The nature of the characters’ relationship is part of it – Their sexual convention is above the Law. If the public were to find two of the league’s best players sleeping together (and, perhaps, in love?), it would damage their careers and put their lives at risk. High numbers equals great love.
