Reports of the deaths of Rob and Michele Reiner were suppressed by a court order, “initiated” by the Los Angeles Police Department.

On Monday, the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner sent a press release saying that although the cause of death for Michele and Rob has been made public, they have removed it.

“Although the cause and manner of death were previously released in these cases, due to a court order, the information is no longer available. No other case information or records, including the Medical Examiner’s report, can be released or posted on the website until further notice,” said the press release, noting that a “security zone” has been put in place for now.

A press release revealed that the Medical Examiner’s Department received a court order on December 24 at 10:30 am.

The Medical Examiner’s office noted that more information will be shared once the court order is lifted.

DEATH CERTIFICATES FOR ROB REINER AND WIFE MICHELE HAVE BEEN ISSUED

On December 23, Rob and Michele’s death certificates were released.

According to death certificates obtained by Fox News Digital from Los Angeles County Department of Public Healththe couple was cremated at Mount Sinai Mortuary.

The certificates also confirmed what was revealed last week by Los Angeles County Office of the Medical Examiner that the Reiners died of multiple injuries. The affidavit states that the injuries were caused by “a knife, by another.”

On Sunday, December 14, police found the bodies of Rob and Michele in the first bedroom of their home in Brentwood, California.

The couple’s son, Nick, was quickly named as a person of interest in the investigation, and hours later, around 9:15 pm local time on the same day, he was arrested.

On December 16, authorities charged Nick with the double murder of his parents. He has been charged with two counts of first degree murder and multiple counts of first degree murder.

“He also faces a special allegation that he used a dangerous and deadly weapon, which is a knife,” Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan Hochman said at a press conference. “These crimes carry a maximum sentence of life in prison without parole, or the death penalty.”

No decision has been made on whether prosecutors will seek it the death penalty.

Nick made his first court appearance in the case on December 17, when his lawyer, famous plaintiff’s lawyer Alan Jackson, asked for a continuance. His arraignment has now been postponed to January 7.
