A mom who skips after-work drinks plans ended up with more than a quiet night.

Nikita Muse, 35, has been named the latest winner of Omaze’s Monthly Millionaire Draw, taking home the £1 million prize, tax-free in the UK after entering the competition for several years.
His price is equal to $1.34 million in US dollars.

Omaze is a prize draw platform that gives participants the chance to win huge cash prizes and luxury homes.
Muse, who is a financial manager at a golf course, was finishing work when he received a call telling him he had won something.

He initially doubted the news, he told SWNS news agency.
She and her husband thought the phone was fake – until representatives came to their home to verify it in person.

He had been going out to meet a friend for a drink after work but quickly changed plans.
Muse joked that the cancellation was necessary — telling her friend that “drinks are on me” the next time they meet.

The reality of the victory soon began to sink in.
“This is going to be an amazing New Year’s Eve for us,” he said, as reported by SNWS.

“What a way to see the year and then enter the next knowing that the future of our children is so secure.”
He also said, “I’m not a big drinker – but we opened a bottle of champagne to enjoy at home.”

Muse and her husband share four children between them.
He said this win reduced the financial pressure immediately and opened up new opportunities for the family.
“You never thought it would happen, but the money is in my account now.”
The couple plans to pay off the mortgage, trade in the old car and take a family trip – including a return to New York and a visit to Disney World.

Muse said he has been posting Omaze drawings for about five years.
He said he was motivated by the opportunity to improve his family’s future and the resources supported by the organization.
