The End Of ‘Stranger Things’ Already Told Us What The Spinoff Will Be About

The time of Stranger Things as we know it ended in the New Year. But, as we know very well, it shows that it is very effective to eliminate go route spinoffs, too Stranger Things this is not the case. Aside from their animated series, the Duffer Brothers have shed some light on what the spin-off of their show will focus on.
In a new interview with Variety, where the Duffer Brothers try hard to keep the spirit of Stranger Things‘ The mysterious ending is unclear, they are pressed into what they were cooking with the mysterious MacGuffin introduced in Vecna’s backstory during the last episode. At the scene, Vecna (AKA Mr. Whatsit, AKA Young Henry Creel) encounters a confused, bloody man carrying a bag inside a cave. After being shot in the hand when the man accuses the boy of being sent by someone to pick him up, Henry reacts in kind by chopping off the mysterious man’s head with a rock. Afterwards, he opens the wallet to find a glowing red rock that damages his body. The dying words of the said man are a warning: “You must resist it, it will destroy you, destroy everything.”

Despite the fact that the last episode of Stranger Things was, entering during the running time of two hours and more, who was this mysterious man, why he was carrying a bag with a red stone, and who followed that man remained high in the air. Admittedly, not in a Game of Thrones They are “forgotten” in a sense—but as a dangling thread. When pressed by Variety to clarify what that rock was all about, Matt Duffer struggled with how to clearly describe it. When Variety offered the phrase “spinoffy,” Matt agreed, apologizing for being tight-lipped about where the series would go in its inevitable spinoff.
“Spinoff, yes. You put us down. It’s very annoying. I want to explain, just because people’s expectations go to certain places: The spinoff will go into that and explain that, and you’ll understand,” Matt Duffer told Variety. “But it’s a completely different story. So it’s not a deep exploration of Mind Flayer or anything like that. It’s very new and very new, but yes, it will answer some of the loose lines that are left.”
Ross Duffer followed by giving a progress report on Stranger Things spin-off, revealing that they are already working on it. Matt piggy backed his brother’s answer, he said Stranger Things the spinoff will serve as a fresh start for them, giving the series’ creators a clean slate to work with “completely new characters, a new city, a new world, new legends.” So for all those people hoping that the Duffer Brothers will provide closure on Right Side Up hard as it confirms the fate of its main characters or not, you will have to hold on to the ambiguity of its fate and decide for yourself which fate works best for you.
Go faster Stranger Things spinoff projects coming to Netflix, Stranger Things: Tales from ’85the 3DCG animated series set between seasons two and three, is set to premiere on the streamer later this year.
