Ian Ziering is now facing a civil lawsuit stemming from a 2023 New Year’s Eve street fight in Hollywood.

Jacob Hernandez, a Los Angeles motorcyclist, is suing the “Beverly Hills, 90210” star, alleging that Ziering pushed him off his bike during a traffic accident two years ago. Hernandez accused Ziering of battery, assault, intentional infliction of emotional distress, malicious prosecution and negligence, according to a complaint filed Dec. 29 and obtained by Fox News Digital.

Hernandez said Ziering used her celebrity status to portray herself as the victim in the incident. He testified that Ziering’s false accusations led to his arrest and detention as well as permanent mental and physical damage.

According to the complaint, Hernandez was riding a small motorcycle when traffic forced him to stop between two vehicles. Ziering is said to have gotten out of his car without further ado he shoved Hernandez twice, hitting a female friend and sending her to the pavement. The confrontation caused chaos afterward, which was caught on video.

The Los Angeles, Hollywood and Metropolitan Police Department has arrested two people they say are involved in an attack on December 31, 2023.

“An altercation began between the victim and one of the motorcyclists over possible damage to his vehicle,” a press release shared by the LAPD obtained by Fox News Digital at the time said. “Three to four more small cyclists jumped out and hit the driver.”

Video obtained by TMZ in 2023 shows Ziering’s car being surrounded by several riders on mini bikes on Hollywood Boulevard before the actor got out of his car. The actor was then seen riding on one of the bikes and his motorcycle was parked directly in front of his car.

The video showed four people throwing punches at Ziering before he backed away and crossed the street with a group of people following him.

In his complaint, Hernandez said Ziering lied to law enforcement to avoid prosecution, which led to his wrongful arrest and detention.

“The defendant is a celebrity, he was on a successful television program in the nineteen years. The defendant used this celebrity status and the right to go to the media. The defendant went to many news channels and gave many interviews and gave statements about the events that happened,” reads the complaint. “At no time did the Defendant state that he pushed the Complainant or that the Defendant initiated the physical contact,” court documents read.

“The defendant has never told the truth about his role in these events. The defendant is a celebrity and means. The defendant used that public position to reach the media, and left the truth of the events, on the contrary, he lied and repeatedly said that he was the one who was attacked. He repeated this false statement on his Instagram account, which has approximately 650,00 followers, saying that Platt attacked his friends. He says on his Instagram account that he was just defending himself but he never said that he was the one who started the argument.”

Fox News Digital has reached out to Ziering’s representative for comment on the allegations.
