Sophie Turner is willing to go above and beyond to prepare for the role.

During an appearance on SiriusXM’s “The Julia Cunningham Show,” Turner — who is promoting her upcoming thriller series, “Steal” — talked about the intense training she endured to prepare for her role as Lara Croft in the upcoming “Tomb Raider” film.

After Cunningham asked Turner what his training regimen looks like, the “Game of Thrones” alum made a surprising admission.

“We’ve been training eight hours a day, five days a week since February last year, so it’s been a lot,” said Turner.

“What do you think is the most amazing thing you learned about your body while doing that?” Cunningham asked.

“I learned that I have chronic back problems, but I also realized that it’s much easier to kind of build muscle if you’ve worked out before in your life, which I never had, so it took me months and months and months to get in good shape,” Turner admitted. “That’s what I learned.”

When Cunningham asked if her role on “GoT” helped her at all, Turner said, “No, I was the cool queen, like, I didn’t have to do that. I was just like I was the one who got hit, not the one doing the punching. So, it’s really good to learn how to throw a punch and not just take it.”

Turner isn’t the only celebrity who’s made a big change in a role.

Matt Damon he recently revealed how he got down to his “high school” weight to play the Greek hero Odysseus in his highly anticipated film “The Odyssey.”

During an appearance on Travis and Jason Kelce’s podcast, “New Heights,” Damon — who is reuniting with director Christopher Nolan for the upcoming action-fantasy film, based on Homer’s epic poem “The Odyssey” — discussed how he came to change his body after the retired Philadelphia Eagles player remarked that the “Good Will Hunting” star was being “yoked” in live shots from the film.

Damon went on to say that he made a big change in his diet that helped him lose the pounds.

“I literally, just because of this other thing I was doing with my doctor, I stopped eating gluten,” he said. “I used to go between 185 and 200 pounds. And I did that whole movie at 167 pounds. I haven’t been that light since high school. So it was a lot of training and a really strict diet.”
