Everyone has their favorite hot sauce – but only one has risen to the top, according to a recent report.

InstaCart, one of America’s most popular grocery delivery services, has released its ranking of America’s favorite sauces.

The latest ranking was based on how many hot sauces were sold on Instacart between Jan. 1 and September 30 of the previous year.

Frank’s RedHot and its sharp, tangy, vinegary flavor — paired with an accessible, moderate heat — won out against the rest.

Instacart said the sauce brand ranks “coast-to-coast as Instacart’s best-selling hot sauce, taking the top spot in 31 states, including large parts of the Midwest, Northeast and Mountain West.”

Regional differences

Although Frank’s RedHot won the report – it wasn’t all the state’s favorite.

Huy Fong Foods’ sriracha was a close second, proving popular in Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Kansas, Idaho, Colorado, Oregon, Washington and Wyoming.

The Louisiana Brand remained the most popular in Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee and Arkansas.

Trending ahead

Brands that experienced exceptional growth on the Instacart platform were Huy Fong Foods, Taco Bell, Mike’s Hot Honey, Melinda’s and Texas Pete, respectively.

Alex Orellana, an Instacart trends analyst, specifically noted the hot honey trend and said it was clearly reflected in the 2025 data.

“This shows that consumers are increasingly thinking about how to balance the spice profile of their food with sweet, spicy honey drizzled on everything from pizza to roasted vegetables,” Orellana said.

“Its rise in popularity shows that people are always looking for new ways to feel the heat.”
