Who is on the iron throne ‘Knight of the Seven Kingdoms’?

Knight of the Seven Kingdoms delivers an HBO original. It is a Game of Thrones a spin off outside of the iron throne.

In both Game of Thrones again The House of the Beastthe characters want nothing more than to park their butts on that spiky chair so they can rule the seven kingdoms – and they’re willing to start brutal wars to get there. But in Knight of the Seven Kingdomsthere is no succession battle. Not even a shot of the iron throne!

Instead, the series focuses on a time of relative peace in Westeros, when knight Ser Duncan the Tall (Peter Claffey) and his new squire, Egg (Dexter Sol Ansell), go to a tournament in Ashford Meadow. At first, most of the people they will fall in with are small people, none of them have ambitions of royalty or queen. Game of Thrones or The House of the BeastLeading. Instead, they are more concerned with making a coin and enjoying the tournament.

However, it wasn’t long before the Targaryens entered the fray. Now a dragon-less family, Westeros’ favorite kinship still rules the seven kingdoms. But which family member sits on the Iron Chair?

Who is the king in the middle Knight of the Seven Kingdoms?

The current King of the Seven Kingdoms in Knight of the Seven Kingdoms is Daeron II Targaryen, who does not appear in the show. He is thought to have left King’s Landing and his sons Maekar (Sam Spruell) and Baelor (Bertie Carvel) are headed to Ashford Meadow.

To put King Daeron in the context of other Targaryens you may be familiar with, he is the grandson of The House of the BeastRhaenyra (Emma D’Arcy) and Daemon Targaryen (Matt Smith). He is also the great-great-great-grandfather of Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke).

But because King Daeron is invisible Knight of the Seven Kingdoms it does not mean that he is not interested in himself. George RR Martin’s The Land of Ice and Fire he lays out the key features of his accession to power and his rule.

King Daeron had a contentious relationship with his father, King Aegon IV. Although the latter wanted to go to war with Dorne, which was not yet part of the Seven Kingdoms, the former encouraged peace.

Aegon began sowing rumors that Daeron was not his legitimate son, and was instead the product of an affair between his wife (and sister) Naerys and his brother Aemon. Although he never officially disowned Daeron as his heir, Aegon legitimized all of his dying crimes by “finding you” in his son. His bastard sons and noble mother are known as the Great Bastards, and they continue to create great drama. But then again, can we expect anything less from the Targaryens?

One of the Great Bastards, Daemon Waters, called himself Daemon I Blackfyre and laid claim to the iron throne. Thus began the First Darkfire Rebellion, which swept through Westeros and lasted from 195 AC (After Aegon’s defeat) to 196 AC. Daemon and his sons perished at the end of the rebellion, and Daeron kept the iron throne. That would be the last major point of conflict during his reign, though it would not be the last Westeros of the Blackfyre Pretenders. (After all, the “First” Blackfyre Rebellion is for a reason.)

Despite the Blackfire Rebellion, Daeron’s reign was peaceful and important. He was able to do what Aegon the Conqueror and several of his descendants could not: bring Dorne into the Seven Kingdoms, all without bloodshed.

Before Daeron became a prince, he married Princess Myriah Martell as part of a peace treaty with Dorne. When he became king, he negotiated with Prince Maron Martell of Dorne to bring Dorne into the Seven Kingdoms.

Because of his kindness and wisdom, King Daeron was known as Daeron the Good, which made him rise above many. to the other Targaryens we met on the other side Game of Thrones again The House of the Beast. And while we won’t meet him in the middle Knight of the Seven Kingdomsyou can thank him for the peaceful version of Westeros we see in the series.

The Seven know that we will not find it at that level of peace The House of the Beast Season 3, that’s for sure.
