Everything we know about the Samsung Galaxy S26: Leaks, specs, prices

Samsung usually unveils its next wave of flagship devices in the winter, and all signs point to an early 2026 launch of the Samsung Galaxy S26 – and hopefully the Galaxy Z TriFold. I Galaxy S25 released in early February, too Galaxy S24 before it arrives in late January. Therefore, it makes sense that the Galaxy S26 will arrive at the same time in 2026.
While Samsung hasn’t announced any upcoming Galaxy Unpacked events, we fully expect the new generation of Samsung phones to debut soon (leakers say you should mark Feb. 25 on your calendar). As usual, before the official launch, we get constant leaks of new Samsung phones.
So, what do we know so far? A lot, actually. Find out the possible Samsung Galaxy S26 specifications, colors, prices, and release date.
CES is over, but I’m still lusting after the Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold
What will the Galaxy S26 phones look like?
Recently, leaks @onleaks has posted a gallery and video on X that it claims shows dummy units of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra. We can’t confirm the authenticity of the video, but it seems plausible, at least.
Overall, it looks very similar to the S25 Ultra, as expected, with one notable change – it has a camera bump similar to the Galaxy Z Fold 7. As 9to5Google points out, because this bump is on the left side of the phone, it will make the phone shake if it’s placed down on a table or desk. (The TriFold has the same problem.) In comparison, the latest iPhone 17 Pro Max has a symmetrical shape and doesn’t move.

However, we can be a little skeptical of this leak. Android Police recently posted their own alleged leak of the S26 Ultra, exclusively without camera explosion.
As for colors, leaker Evan Blass posted what could be a complete list of color options for the X. The colors are:
-
The black one
-
White
-
Silver Shadow
-
Blue Sky
-
Cobalt Violet
-
Pink Gold
Those all sound pretty standard for a Samsung phone, so it doesn’t seem like the company is doing anything bold this year in terms of colors. That’s either a relief or a disappointment, depending on how you felt about last year’s controversial cosmic orange iPhone.
What models will be included in the S26 lineup?
We’re expecting three phones at the next Galaxy Unpacked event:
-
Samsung Galaxy S26
-
Samsung Galaxy S26 Plus
-
Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra
Over the past few months, rumors and leaks have hinted at a major shake-up in the Galaxy S26 line. Samsung is said to be renaming the base model the S26 Pro, ditching the Plus model that sat in the lineup for years, and replacing that with a new Edge phone modeled after last year’s S25 Edge (which was a flop). However, that’s apparently no longer the case, and you can thank Apple for that, according to Korean outlet NewsPim (via 9to5google).

Due to Apple’s success in offering significant year-over-year improvements to the base iPhone 17 (such as a 120Hz display) without raising the price, Samsung has reportedly dropped the Pro logo for the base model and returned it to the Galaxy S26 only, which was supported by a separate report by SamMobile. According to that report, you can expect a relaunch of the S26, S26 Plus, and S26 Ultra in 2026. That may be disappointing for anyone who was expecting a major shake-up based on previous reports, but if nothing else, it makes it easier to keep track of what’s going on.
Mashable Light Speed
As for the previously rumored S26 Edge, it’s unclear what will happen with that. It could be dead, or it could come out later in the year as a separate release like the S25 Edge did. Given the phone’s lack of success, it might be wise to assume there won’t be an S26 Edge at this point.
Rumored Galaxy S26 specs
In terms of specs, the rumors aren’t particularly surprising. Galaxy S26 series at the moment rumors in they have the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 chip, which Qualcomm has reinvented itself on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. There is and rumor that Samsung will equip other S26 models with an Exynos chip, which Samsung fans hope is the Exynos 2600, which has also been around. making noise in the rumor mill recently.
In terms of small things, like storage and RAM, there has been a little buzz. One said the rumor that the Galaxy S26 (all variants) will have 16GB of RAM, a 4GB increase from a few years ago, and the most the phone has had since the Galaxy S21 Ultra. Regarding the storage capacity, there are no rumors that anything will change, so the base 128GB (256GB on the Ultra) will probably remain for now, with expanded storage available as an option.
Galaxy S26: Is a price increase coming?
We’re in the midst of a massive memory shortage worldwide, and this has been particularly bad news for smartphone and mobile consumers (you can blame the AI industry for hoarding all the RAM). And according to the leaker @kro_roe, this would not only lead to an increase in the price of the S26, but also to the end of the popular launch offer.

Usually, when Samsung launches a new phone, customers who pre-order or buy at launch can claim double the storage at no extra cost. But since RAM is scarce, that may no longer be the case. Recent rumors suggest that Samsung hasn’t come up with a final price for the S26 phones.
That last part is important because it is very likely that the prices will not change after all. At least a new report suggests that Samsung is trying to make sure that prices do not increase from last year, even if that means the company has to eat some of the cost of each unit sold.
Battery and charger
Based on early rumors, this could be one of the most interesting changes coming to the S26 system. Samsung has been working on a battery stack design that would allow much denser batteries in the same area. This may bring a long-awaited bump in battery size. In accordance with the first rumoursthe S26 Ultra is slated to come with a 5,500 mAh stacked battery, which is a 10 percent increase from the S25 Ultra.
Samsung reportedly tried to remove the camera to add more battery capacity, but that doesn’t mean it will happen in the mass-produced model. While the S26 Pro was rumored to have a larger 4,900mAh battery compared to previous Galaxy phones, a NewsPim report said the base S26 (now that it’s no longer a Pro device) has been tweaked to a more modest 4,300mAh cell.
In terms of charging, it is unlikely that the Galaxy S26 series will get a major upgrade. Samsung i we are definitely working 60W wired charging, but so far, it seems that Samsung will wait for the Galaxy S27 series (or later) to use it. This could change as we get closer to launching the S26 series, but for now, it looks like the 45W will be around for at least one more year. There rumors again that wireless charging may detect Qi2 standard deviations
Galaxy S26: What about the cameras?
The camera system on the Galaxy S26 series may change a bit, and there are a few different rumors that say different things. You jump in, says another old rumor that the S26 series will have the same number of megapixels but will feature a new, yet-to-be-announced sensor from the same ISOCELL GN series as Samsung’s previous models. On the Galaxy S26 Ultra, a 200MP camera there are rumors, as a 324MP lens with a 50MP, 3x telephoto lens. It is possible that Samsung will make 200MP with the new sensor, but all leaks are speculative at the moment.

Moreover, there rumors that Samsung will bring back its flexible area on the main shooter, which Samsung has not included in its camera system since the Galaxy S10 series back in 2019. As mentioned before, Samsung he might consider reduce the number of cameras to three instead of four, like previous models, to make room for a larger battery. Some rumors about the camera they include a double periscope a design that will increase of 8xbut that’s just speculation at this point.
However, many of these rumors came at a time when we thought that Samsung was making major changes to the S26 lineup. New reports indicate that, at least in terms of the S26 and S26 Plus, things won’t change much over the years. According to Korean outlet The Elec, those two phones will have the same number of megapixels on the rear three-lens array as previous Galaxy models: a 50MP wide lens, a 12MP ultrawide lens, and a 10MP 3x telephoto lens. Those were the specs going back to the Galaxy S22. If you were hoping for big changes to the cheaper S26 models this year, we’re sorry.
Other features and hardware
Android Police recently alerted us to a very interesting feature that may debut with the S26: A new mode called. Privacy Screen. This rumored feature will make the display look like a frozen screen protector, except it will be built into the UI. This leak comes from Samsung itself, so everything has been confirmed.
Some details about the Galaxy S26 lineup are pretty predictable. It will come with the latest One UI out of the gate with the latest version of Android. That’s not surprising, and we don’t need rumors to predict that. The S26 series will likely get One UI 8.5, which is slated for major redesign once many new featuresincluding the aforementioned privacy screen feature. According to rumors, the redesign is a simulation Apple’s Liquid Glass in some ways with transparent UI elements.
The only piece of hardware we’ll ever talk about is the S-Pen. Samsung seems set to do something big with the S-Pen. I rumors are speculating that the S-Pen he sticks and it will come with some improvements. The new functionality may be related to how magnetic accessories work, and this appears to be linked to the aforementioned Qi2 wireless charging upgrade.
We’ll find out how much (if any) of this is true in a matter of weeks, along with Samsung’s past announcement times.
