A Nevada judge announced his retirement on Thursday, just days after the court issued a protective order against a lawyer accused of stalking him for more than a year.

Washoe County Judge Bridget Robb, 63, is suspected of stalking Gaming and Administrative Law attorney Kelci Binau in various locations around Reno, including residences and workplaces, according to court documents, News 4 reported.

The documents detail a number of alleged encounters and suggest there may have been hundreds of such incidents.

The attorney alleges that Robb exhibited a “deliberate, repeated and patterned” course of conduct between May 2024 and the issuance of the temporary protection order last week that caused fear, intimidation and concern for personal safety.

A hearing is scheduled for February 13 to determine if the protective order will be extended.

Binau said the practice continued despite repeated requests from him to stop, which eventually led him to seek help from the law enforcement.

After the order was issued, Chief District Judge Egan Walker temporarily removed Robb from all charges and committee duties, and a court spokeswoman told News 4 that the Second Judicial District Court is conducting an internal investigation.

Robb then announced his retirement on Thursday, saying this would “help the court, my family and the community.” The judge also said that he is canceling his candidacy for the District Court of the Second District, Department 10.

“After careful consideration, I have made the decision to resign from my position as a judge. At this time, I believe that leaving my judicial position and election is in the best interest of the court, my family and the community. I ask for respect and understanding from all involved during this transition,” Robb said in a statement sent to the Nevada Independent.

He was up for re-election to his District 13 court seat, but chose to run against District Judge Kathleen Sigurdson in District 10 instead.

The judge has served on the bench for almost twenty years after being appointed in 2006 by the then Govt. Kenny Guinn.

The Reno Police Department opened an investigation into the judge last year and looked into the gym Binau frequented. Detectives saw Robb wandering around the shopping center where there was a gym while Binau was exercising, according to court documents, News 4 reported.

Earlier this month, police pulled Robb over after seeing him roaming the area. The detectives followed him until they reached his home and interviewed him. Binau alleges that Robb admitted to spying during the interview, which was recorded on detectives’ body cameras.

Robb said he was “gathering information” while driving and explained his actions as a way to deal with issues linked to his previous relationships.
