Real Oviedo got only their third win of the season with a narrow win against Girona. The Catalans had the best game of all, but they were ruined by former player Ilyas Chaira, who scored the only goal in the game in the 74th minute.

Osasuna and Villarreal played out a four-goal thriller at El Sadar

Osasuna 2-2 Villarreal

Villarreal suffered a blow to their hopes of finishing in the top 3 after a draw against Osasuna. They took an early lead through Gerard Moreno, but goals from Victor Munoz and Ante Budimir had Los Rojillos ahead at the break, although they could not wait as Yellow Submarin’s number 7 scored their second to ensure a share of the spoils.

Atletico Madrid were poor as they were held by relegation-threatened Levante at Ciudad de Valencia. Diego Simeone’s side struggled to create clear-cut chances, and to make matters worse, they sent off Alexander Sorloth and Pablo Barrios both injured in the first 50 minutes. Fortunately for Los Colchoneros, things have improved off the pitch in the last 24 hours.

Pablo Fornals struck late on as Real Betis edged out Valencia

Real Betis 2-1 Valencia

Real Betis continue to keep alive their hopes of a top 4 finish, as they came from behind to beat Valencia. Luis Rioja scored the first goal for Los Che, but minutes later, Chimy Avila hit back from the penalty spot, before substitute Pablo Fornals netted in the 88th minute to seal the win for Los Verdiblancos.

Getafe and Celta Vigo cannot be separated at the Coliseum

There was little action on either side as Getafe and Celta Vigo played to a draw. Both defenses were high, with neither side able to create clear chances.

Athletic Club 1-1 Real Sociedad

Athletic Club and Real Sociedad could not be separated in El Derbi Vasco. Goncalo Guedes powered the visitors into the lead in the first half, but after Brais Mendez was sent off for an off-the-ball incident with Jesus Areso, Los Leones scored a late equalizer from Inigo Ruiz de Galarreta.
