MS NOW “Morning Joe” co-host Mika Brzezinski broke down in tears as she shared the news about Savannah Guthrie’s missing mother Tuesday, as her co-hosts reflected on their relationship with the NBC “Today” show.
Brzezinski noted many of the day’s headlines — including news of Nancy Guthrie’s disappearance — and took a bite as Joe Scarborough, Brzezinski’s husband, talked about Guthrie.
“He’s a dear friend of all of us. And I know that Willie has worked with him even more, but, you know, he’s been our friend, well, since the show started. He was always on the show, and Willie, it’s just stressful news,” Scarborough said. “And we are praying, and we have been praying non-stop that he returns safely.”
Nancy Guthrie, 84, was last seen Places to stay in Tuscon around 9:30 pm Saturday, according to the Pima County Sheriff’s Department. Although officials did not immediately elaborate on the circumstances of her disappearance, Sheriff Chris Nanos said Monday that “we have a crime.”

Willie Geist, host of NBC’s “Today,” said all Savannah Guthrie is asking for right now is a prayer.
“And I can tell you, that’s all Savannah is asking for right now is a prayer. She is, as you both know, very proud of her faith,” Geist said. “His mother too.”
“The church members called Savannah’s siblings when Nancy did not come to church on Sunday,” he continued. “This is beyond unimaginable. Panic doesn’t do it justice.”
“Nancy Guthrie, I have had the privilege of knowing for the past 15 years is a kind, sweet, intelligent, honest woman,” added Geist. “And none of us can believe this. So we’re just trying to support Savannah, her husband, her children. Nancy is a great mother and grandmother, and we just – prayers. I think if you believe in prayer, any kind of positive energy or love that you can send in the morning, I know that Savannah would appreciate it.”
