Out of the Gates: Ted Begins Third Family Secret As Kat Reaches Her Breaking Point?

Beyond the Gates reveals Dr. Ted Richardson (Maurice Johnson) sparks a new relationship. And when Dr. While Nicole Dupree Richardson (Daphnee Duplaix) is getting along well with Shanice Johnson (Ernestine Johnson), her crazy ex Dana “Leslie” Thomas (Trisha Mann-Grant) doesn’t agree.

His daughter Katherine “Kat” Richardson (Colby Muhammad) may have some problems if she and Shanice get serious and settle down.

Dana “Leslie” Thomas Planting Shameful Trap for Shanice and Ted Beyond the Gates

Okay, so we have Shanice and Ted very serious about the date. They don’t just get close. I think Shanice is more of a rebound for Ted. Right now, Shanice is in the smitten cat phase, but I see Ted fighting for her and Shanice falling for Ted.

This week, we saw Shanice get a little upset when she found Leslie’s drawers loose on the sofa cushions of Ted’s hotel room. The time to get under Leslie wasn’t too bad because it seems like Ted was starting to date and telling Shanice that she’s the one he wants to be with. This happens shortly after Ted gets upset about paying too much attention to Nicole and her hot date, Kyle Rollins (Greg Vaughan), on. Uptown.

Then they come back and Shanice finds what Ted’s sketchy ex Leslie left there, hoping Shanice will find them. It’s very small. Good thing Shanice was smart enough to pick up those panties using a tissue and not her hands. Ted is talking like this this week saying if it’s him, whose pants are these?

Ted Confronts Lunatic Leslie As Drama Heats Up on BTG

I don’t think you can see them. It’s not like you visited Leslie’s underwear drawer. But Ted will soon realize that only one person could leave them there. The good news is that I’m sure she’ll tell Shanice, “Look, this is one of those Leslie psychic schemes.” I’m sure Shanice will quickly see that makes sense, and I don’t think she’ll hold it against Ted.

But I think staying in a hotel under the same roof with Leslie is a problem. It’s a big building with a big roof, but Ted is very close to Leslie. It’s long overdue for Ted to get out of that hotel and away from crazy Leslie. I hope this incident will come out of his ugly face. I also hope that Leslie’s prank will continue to further Shanice and Ted’s relationship. That would be a little karma.

On Friday of this week, she’s had enough and confronts Leslie publicly about her mysterious behavior. I wonder if Ted will make a scene out of it Fairmont Crest or maybe at the hospital because we know that Leslie keeps harassing and insulting Shanice at work.

Class Conflicts and Insecurity in the Out-of-Gate Building

Of course, we all know what was eating Leslie. She was another woman and she was jealous of Nicole, who came from a good, educated and sophisticated family. At the time, Leslie was a waitress. There was nothing wrong with that, but he felt that having raw faith made him inferior. That was part of why he and Ted didn’t work out.

Meanwhile, Leslie feels good about that pile of Anita Dupree’s (Tamara Tunie) money that she fell back on. Somehow Leslie now feels better and uplifted. It’s clear that he lacks confidence and money won’t help that.

Then Shanice comes in, beautiful and smart, and educated, but not DMV royalty. Ted is not a shy person. He really liked Shanice and had a peach fixer with her This is Oree Jean’s place. He’s also a perfect fit for Ted’s country club scene. I loved seeing Shanice give it back to Anastasia (Erica Hubbard) one day, and Shanice always covering Leslie and not letting her scare her at all.

Beyond the Gates Engagement Spoilers and Relationship Milestones

When Ted goes public about Leslie, I’m sure that will resonate with Shanice that she means a lot to him. We have another Friday spoiler saying that two people are getting engaged. I would be happy if Ted could go there, but I feel it is too close for them. It could be Joey Armstrong (Jon Lindstrom) proposing to Vanessa McBride (Lauren Buglioli) or the other way around, but we’ll have to wait and see.

Despite the fact that they may not be an engaged couple, I suspect we’ll see Ted and Shanice continue to get even more complicated. I think Ted might find his own place and we could see him and Shanice coming in as they moved on and developed.

This week Ted sees Nicole playing tonsil hockey with Kial e Uptown. That’s hot on Ted’s heels seeing Nicole out with Dr. Carlton Fitzgerald (Robert Christopher Riley). He made it clear to Ted that he was in his rear view mirror. Nicole is single and dating a lot of hot men. As good as they are about it, it’s none of Ted’s business.

Will Ted Start A Third Family With Shanice On BTG?

Here’s the point I’m curious about: how will Ted’s kids deal with him getting serious with someone? They knew that Leslie had an old fault. This relationship with Shanice is a thing of the present and possibly the future.

Martin Richardson (Brandon Claybon) and Kat are both very upset when they find out that Ted cheated on their mother. Meanwhile, Martin has been very accepting of his new sister, Eva Thomas (Ambyr Michelle). Martin does not hold Leslie badly against Eva. Martin understands and tries to explain to Kat that Eva was raised being told the worst things about everyone.

Eva came to the DMV with an agenda because she had been full of air all her life. But when she realized that Leslie had lied and misled her, Eva tried to stop what her mother was doing. He tried to stop her from breaking up with Nicole and Ted. However, Kat doesn’t want to show Eva any favors for any reason.

Kat’s Insecurities Over Ted’s New Relationship Beyond the Gates

Kat was also upset when Ted said that he loves all his children equally: her, Martin, and Eva. It is a mystery to Kat that Ted will love all his children equally, regardless of who their mother is. I’m just saying this because I want to know how Kat will feel if Ted starts a third family, this time with Shanice.

Ted never intended to start a second family; that was a mistake. But Shanice has no children of her own. He is at the right age for his blood clock to keep ticking. It’s not like Ted over the hill. If he wants to settle down with Shanice and want kids, I can see Ted saying, “Okay, let’s do it.”

The other day when Kat saw Ted and Shanice in Uptown, I thought it was really cute. Kat made an effort to get to know Shanice since both Ted and Shanice were clear that they started seeing each other after Ted and Nicole’s split was official. But will Kat change her mind if Ted decides to marry Shanice and have more children?

Kat Fights Insecurity on BTG

Kat seems to think that love is limited and that it’s not enough to go around when more people come into the picture. He feels insecure and threatening when he says that Eva is the one who is insecure. I know Beyond the Gates fans are deeply divided on Kat vs. Eve. I won’t weigh in on those waters, but I’m curious to see how Kat will handle it if Ted decides to expand his family beyond Martin, Kat, and Eva.

I think Martin and Eva will be very accommodating. I don’t think they would even ask if Ted wanted to do that. But Kat’s reaction to Ted getting serious about Shanice is what interests me. Even if they don’t say they want to start a family, Kat may be looking down that road and seeing that it’s possible, and she’s still feeling a little short. Will you be shocked? We will see.
