Joe Biden’s friends are said to be worried about the former president as he is battling prostate cancer, according to reports.

While aides said he was doing well, others reportedly cited increasing fatigue as a concern and attributed it to Biden’s treatment.

According to The Washington Post, four friends who spoke with Biden in recent months said they had not received updates on his health.

But they told the outlet that in the past few weeks, Biden has, at times, appeared extremely tired, something they say is due to the type of cancer he has and its treatment.

A fifth person, however, told the media that Biden is active and busy and remains “encouraged and positive about his disease because of his good response to treatment.”

Aides reiterated that the 83-year-old is doing well and continuing his work, including writing his biography and preparing for future public appearances.

Biden is scheduled to go to South Carolina on February 27 to deliver a speech commemorating six years of victory in this state.

In 2025, Biden’s office announced that he had been diagnosed with stage 4 prostate cancer that had spread to the bone — something medical experts considered “incurable.”

When the initial announcement was made, his office said the cancer was given a Gleason score of 9 – on a scale of 6 to 10 – meaning it is among the most aggressive forms and is likely to spread quickly, possibly to the spine.

Biden’s team said on October 11, 2025, he was receiving radiation treatment at Penn Medicine Radiation Oncology in Philadelphia. She was already receiving hormone therapy in pill form.

On October 20, 2025, Biden rang the bell after completing his course of radiation treatment – a moment his daughter, Ashley, described as a small celebration in her fight against the disease.

In September 2025, Biden also underwent surgery to remove multiple skin cancer lesions from his scalp.

Despite his diagnosis, Biden has continued to attend major events.
