Model Tess Holliday calls the program ‘fatphobic’ after being denied life insurance

Model Tess Holliday said on Wednesday she was denied life insurance because of her weight.
“I’m sorry. Yes, I am he did think i can get life insurance as a 40 year old, non smoker, non drinker, non human life. That was really bad for me,” he said sarcastically in a TikTok video.
“Am I 5 foot 3 and weigh over 300 lbs.?” he continued. “And apparently that makes me ineligible for life insurance. Yes, of course.”
He added that he exercises daily, has no pre-existing conditions and does not take any medication.

The plus-size model went on to call the “medical industry” “fatphobic,” saying “the system is broken.”
“That’s my fault and that’s on me,” he added sarcastically. “And the truth is, it won’t happen again. Lesson learned.”
In the text of this document, he wrote that “AAA defiled me, man,” adding to another who commented that he was “shocked” by this incident.
“But hey, I also understand that the medical industrial complex is fatphobic and naturally the system is broken.”

Fox News Digital has contacted AAA for comment.
Last week, Holliday posed in a green bikini with the word “fat” and captioned her video “POV: you lost weight but you didn’t make it your personality.”
He added a different caption to the video: “Think you’re calling self-acceptance poison. It can’t be me.”

Holliday said he’s back “#effyourbeautystandards” movement she started “because this message is still important. 13 years after I created the organization, we still need a reminder. “Maybe now more than ever.”
Last fall, the actress said she was “gobsmacked” after a flight attendant suggested she slim down.
The 40-year-old woman said she was flying first class on United from Tampa, Florida, with her 9-year-old son when she got up to use the plane’s bathroom.

“I was in the bathroom, and my hip hit the call button,” she told People magazine. “When I came out of the bathroom, the flight attendant started telling me that they saw that I was traveling with my baby, and that losing weight would be beneficial for me.”

“He then went on to tell me that because of my size, I’m kidding if I think there’s no need for me to lose weight,” she said.
Holliday said he knows people hearing his story might think he was just trying to help.

“That’s not the point,” he insisted. “You don’t say things like that to people. He said a lot of other things. The conversation took too long. Thank you, I excused myself from the conversation when another passenger came to use the toilet.”
Commenting after the video, Holliday said “he spoke to United, they said they will pass it on and talk to a member of the team. I also told them I don’t want anyone to lose their job. I just want them to be careful and maybe do some sensitivity training so it doesn’t happen again.”
