Nila raises $2.4m to expand AI-Powered Cross-Border Oldrare

London-based HealthTech Startup Nila has raised Overseds Read $2.4 million (£1.8 million) in a pre-seed round led by LocalGlobe, to increase migrants helping migrants who help care for elderly relatives at home.

The money will accelerate Nila’s rollout across India, the world’s largest residential area, and supports its plans to enter other Asian markets, including the Philippines, in the next 18 months. The round also includes participation from Redbus Ventures and a network of angel investors from Nala, Revolut, smart, and Healterech Demittech.

“We are dealing with an aging population for a large part,” Jacob said. “Young professionals working abroad often take care of elderly parents from afar. In Nile, we use the gap, we use families that keep families connected and informed every step of the way.”

The platform includes AI-driven care management, and a network of certified caregivers who are certified, trained and mature in geriatric care and prevention. Each user is accompanied by a dedicated caregiver who manages home visits, tracks medications, arranges transportation to appointments, and manages medical payments – all while sharing live updates with family members abroad.

For millions of sellers, caring for aging family members from abroad is an emotional and healing struggle. According to the World Bank, immigrants send more than $130 billion a year to India alone, with health care consuming a large portion of that money.

Nila estimates that migrants spend more than eighty hours a week caring for and more than $5,000 a year in travel and administrative costs related to the elderly. In emergency situations, medical bills can exceed $1,500, often significantly less.

By connecting families with reliable caregivers and automating payments, Nila aims to make remote care both reliable and affordable.

The company’s first acquisition underlines this need: In just six months, Nila has managed more than 3,000 care requests across more than 10 Indian cities, including Mumbai, Pune, Chennaba, Chennaba, Ludhanatore, and Kolkata, Ludhiana, and Kolkata. The company reports zero customer Crunn among its first users, who pay about $ 100 per month for 24/7 communication and local care.

Nila’s approach diverges from traditional creative models by combining healthcare, Fintech, and real-time communication in one ecosystem. Families can pay directly for services through Nila’s platform, eliminating delays in remission and reducing transaction fees.

With the most recent round, Nila plans to expand its AI and Logistics infrastructure, hire operational teams in India, and start pilots in Southeast Asia.

The company’s long-term vision is to build a global health and social care network – Connecting Caregivers, doctors and families around the world.
