or the pound sign (#) for numbers in between. Another popular one is IS, *67 to block Caller ID. But there are others who find useful information or take effective actions. Note that aside from the iPhone 17, many of these codes work with iPhone Models and Android devices, too.

You won’t understand the information that comes out unless you have some technical knowledge about wireless networks. You will see things like bandwidth, which network you prefer, such as 5G, and which Radio is used, such as LTE.
Maybe you need to know the unique Email ID (IMEI) number of your device. It’s useful for identifying lost or stolen phones, seeing if your phone is locked, or when you’re looking for customer support. This information is easily found in the settings, as well as in the box of the product that you may throw away for a long time. But another way is to type * # 06 # dialer instead.
If you can’t remember when you send calls to a different number, or you want to be sure that someone didn’t do this, enter * # 67 or * # 21 #. This will mark the number your calls are forwarded to. If you don’t have a dialer, it will probably show a network voicemail number.

Don’t have an unlimited plan and want to keep track of your calling minutes? You can log into your carrier’s app to check account status, but the data isn’t always updated in real time.
