Bluesky will check the ‘dislike’ option. It can help fix a big problem

Bluesky is a social media platform very similar to Twitter before it was taken over by Elon Musk, but it is its own thing, and it has its problems. One of those issues is the dreaded “Discover” tab, something that could be greatly improved by adding a “dislike” feature currently targeted for beta release.
In a blog post from Friday that included the announcement of the reluctance, bluesky wrote about how it continues to provide users with “tools that give people more control over bluesky.” This is almost unimaginably funny. The Blueky culture is built around deliberately valuing ourselves internally, and seeing only the things you love.
So, for example, when the White House joined the Democratic-leaning Bluesky, thousands of users quickly found a feature that was blocked with a powerful force, which led to the systematic acquisition of the network, and therefore, it was highly calculated for the administration of the Trump Administration. The repost count on the White House Bluesky Post rarely exceeds 70, and most users on the site simply do not have an account.
But early blocking is also often the norm for bluesky users who encounter anything they don’t like, for whatever reason. Even if you like someone well, you can block them just because their posting style is a bit off for you.
In other words, Bluesky is an efficient and clean room. But it’s not clear if blocking someone affects any additional content like what you’ve just been blocked from will be served to you over time.
Enter the dislike, which will be a “new sign” that should “enhance personalization and find other feeds,” according to Bluesky’s Blog. Adding “dislikes” to every block has the potential to strengthen its attributes – your app’s attributes and its culture – especially when it comes to the Discoud feed.
The Discover feed on Bluesky feels like a cesspool because, while everyone is different, it’s mostly at the top of the Bluesky Bell Curve. If you use the app at all, chances are you’ve at least enjoyed the Elon Musk, annoying AI, saccharine posts about pets, enabling selfies, pretty pictures, and what have you. But the return is quickly diminishing in the supply you save with these things, and that’s the experience in the Bluesky Discover tab. An avalanche of meh posts.
While some clearly enjoy receiving the feed – A common complaint among large accounts is that the receiving tab reveals its gaps to reduce responses in months – the opinion that Discount Feard is simply absorbing and should not be used is common.
“Unfavorability helps the system understand what types of posts you’d like to see less,” says Blogky’s Blog Post cases. If this turns out to be true, the Discover tab could finally fill the gap: to keep things fresh, there needs to be a good place in Bluesky to meet new types of content out there. The chronology tab does, after all, get it after a while (basically you end up with posts from users you’d really like, but who’s posting a ton).
If the dislike of work is strong and active with the power of the structures all categories of illegal things, it can be completely reported by the new Bluesky: But if the dislike does not go by the jugular, it is fine. There is the old, reliable one.
