Elizabeth Women Loclean Lealeth League (NWSL) Elizabeth Eddy said on Wednesday that they were invited to her wedding despite her rebuke of the attacks of the OP-ED who wrote to the organization to get clear gender standards.

Angel City FC Midfielder wrote in the New York Post, “the NWSL must adopt a clear standard. The only option is that the players must be born from eggs, as that is the type of sports that the world and world boxing used.”

However, Sara’s co-worker Sara Goren, said her comments were “found transphobic and racist.” Angelina Anderson said, regardless of the column, the Angel City Locker Room is “a place for everyone.”

Eddy appeared on “Fox & Friends” on the FOX news channel and talked about the backlash to them.

“Reasonable people can argue about this topic but there is no need to resort to bullying or name-calling because it does not set a good example for anyone,” said Eddy. “But more than that, these teammates are my friends and I’ve known them for a very long time. In fact, they’ve been invited to my wedding and the invitation that’s pending.

“They said, ‘Yes.’ I hope they come. I think it is very important to offer an olive branch because, at the end of the day, we are all human, and getting on the same page and choosing to work together is very important. “

Eddy said it was “tricky” to say whether his teammates understood the dangers of having men play against women in women’s sports.

“I was saying, In the world of professional sports, it’s really fake because speaking out is a really difficult thing to do because, think about it, I’ll do all this is, even if it’s all that’s needed. ‘ And the flip side of that is, ‘Even if I’m silent. Even if I go to meet. I’m willing to do that to play,’ “he said.

“So, I think at the end of the day, what I have with my colleagues, a lot of my peers agree with what I’m trying to share more than I want to talk and I understand that.”

Eddy said he received support from players around the league after releasing the op-ed.

“Overall, as I see it, it’s an 80/10 problem,” he said. “The majority of the world wants women’s sports to be women’s. What I have seen, many of my colleagues have a hard time talking about if they believe this. But, the picture needs to decide and work together.

“And what I also saw, many players in the league treated me badly and said that they agree but they are afraid to talk about this big idea, and they support this whole idea.”
