You’d be forgiven if you didn’t know that octogenarian author Joyce Carol Oates – author of Sin and Where are you going, have you been – it’s a wide, beautiful poster. Yes, as in the person posting online. But he, and it’s been a long time.

Billionaire Elon Musk recently discovered this fact on X, his own platform. And now he’s grounded by oites, or at least he’s trying to prove that he’s definitely not crazy. So … what happened? Let me explain.

To be clear, obviously, there have been instances of Musk saying he enjoyed things in culture. Journalist Ronan Farrow this year talked about how musk informs – and often misunderstands – science fiction.
