Trump says crime in Chicago has been greatly reduced by Operation Midway Blitz

President Donald Trump said Tuesday that violent crime in Chicago has dropped significantly since the start of a federal crackdown known as the “homeland security blitz,” including an effort by the Department of Homeland Security,

The President’s Social Truth says that will be shot down by 35%, robbery by 41% and adultery by almost 50% since the operation began a few weeks ago.

“This was achieved despite extraordinary resistance from the Chicago and Illinois Radical Democrats,” Trump wrote.

The post marks the first public review by the President since late October, when the DHS confirmed nine arrests, including three illegal immigrants, following what officials described as days of violent “operations.”

According to DHS statements obtained by FOX News Digital, agents faced multiple assaults and vehicle attacks during the Oct. 22 raids in Chicago.

Assistant Secretary of Defense Tricia Mclaughlin called it “one of the most violent days we’ve had,” confirming that one person was injured and several Patrol units were injured. Attacks aimed at those who committed violent crimes and were expelled from foreign countries with past criminal records.

The attorney named Katie Abraham, a resident of Chicago-Abraident who was killed in September in a hit-and-run hit-and-run by a suspect.

“Midway Blitz,” launched in September, is part of a broader DHS program aimed at “illegal aliens who have terrorized the American people of Illinois,” the law enforcement officials said.

Trump’s post also reignites conflicts with Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker and Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson, both of whom have resisted attacks on mass immigration. The President accused them of obstructing the operation and ‘encouraging violent resistance against the ice masters. “

Trump said the next phase of the “Midway Blitz” will include a “full operation” of federal agents in Chicago and Memphis, saying the first wave has delivered measurable results.

“As we raise more assets, these numbers will continue to decline,” he wrote on Tuesday.

The Illinois Governor’s office and the Chicago Mayor’s office did not immediately respond to FOX News Digital’s requests for comment. The White House directed FOX Digital news back to the President’s social commentary.
