The movie is as good as the idea. Robert Deniro plays a political spin doctor and Dustin Hoffman plays a Hollywood producer. He hires Hoffman’s character to help him out, and they band together to get the rest of the country to believe that there is a war in Albania.

The movie came out before the Meos President Bill Clinton himself Clinton broke in 1998 and there is a comparison of the movie after Clinton decided to unite two different groups a few days after admitting sexual relations with Monica Lewinsky. Clinton ordered the bombing of Afghanistan and Sudan, prompting many people to compare it to the plot of the movie.

Obviously anyone who ends up with Mamet, who is best known for his plays like Glengryy Glen Rossyou know he’s a big trump person now. And surely Mamet knows that Trump would never start a war to interfere with anything as stupid as a sex bullet. Besides, the scandal was so great it threatened to bring down his entire Presidency.
