Our pick – a safe, reliable app that doesn’t sacrifice features, speed or usability. Although its free plan comes with unlimited data, we recommend upgrading to get the full set of servers and features. With this deal, you will get servers in 117 countries; Better yet, everyone of these tests so far can block Netflix.
$59.76 (75 percent off) at Proton
ExpressVPN Basic (15 months) for $52.39 (73 percent off): ExpressVPN can be the most user-friendly VPN right now, with fast download speeds (only 7 percent loss in our last test), fast connections and apps designed to stay out of your way. It’s not the most feature-rich, but it goes beyond any bread-and-butter VPN function, staying leak-free and unblocking netflix everywhere. You also get access to server locations in 105 countries.
Surfshark Starter (27 months) for $53.73 (87 percent off): According to the tests we ran with our latest review, surfshark is the fastest VPN right now, with its download speed, upload speed and latencies all beating the competition. It has a lot more to offer than speed, too, as it can always cycle your IP address and generate double VPN paths between any two servers you choose.
Basic Nordvpn (27 months) for $80.73 (74% off): Nordvpn received excellent marks in our last review, where we called out its fast Internet speed, wide network of server locations and selection of special features. It comes with a list of dedicated servers for rent, onion router, torrent and more. Plus, it’s one of the first VPNs to get the jump on post-quantum encryption.
Cyberghost VPN (28 months) for $56.84 (84% off): Cyberghost is always cheap – in fact, we named it the best VPN for VPNs – but it has never been fixed as an economic option. Its smart automation controls are the deepest in the industry, and its server network reaches 100 countries. The speed is also quite good, although the connection sometimes takes a while to establish.
Private Internet Access (40 months) for $79.20 (83% off): Even though we weren’t completely open about Private Internet Access (PIA VPN) in our last review, we can’t deny that it’s a viable option for an inexpensive VPN. Although the speed can change, it comes with many desirable features for all platforms, such as transfer to the port (which makes the currents more stable) and two types of fine separation.
