A clip of the louvre jewel Jewer has circulated online
One day after thieves robbed the French museum of the Louvre Musels in the Hearitime of Brazen noon, a short video showing the crime scene from the apollo gallery was spread in many languages on social media. But the sequence was produced by artificial intelligence, AFP confirmed.
“Louvre Jewelry Heist footage,” said the group’s second caption posted on Instagram on October 20, 2025.
The sequence shows two men in yellow vests – under the watchful eye of the account wearing the same clothes – Put something in a black bag while an alarm sounds in the background.
The glass shards can be seen on the left, and the solid crown in its reflective state on the right. The attackers climb out of the windows at the end of the video after shouting, in French: “Let’s go!” Let’s go! “Let’s go!” Let’s go! “Let’s go!” Let’s go! “Let’s go!” Let’s go! “Let’s go!” Let’s go! “

The video has been shared by platforms including x, tiktok, YouTube, and in French-language posts on Facebook, as the October 19 Heist sparks a political debate and reignites the debate over the safety of French museums.

Unique features of AI
Using a reverse image search, AFP compiled a French-language Tiktok version of the video in which the “sora” logo appears. The watermark indicates that the view was produced by software from accai, the American company that created chatgpt.

The position of a person’s hand is said to bleed the situation with their smartphone. The hand appears to be shown in empty space, not in the mirror.
-
The way one of the robbers got out of the window. He seems to be going to a place where there is nothing visible to support his weight.

At this time in the investigation, the only public correction from the public of the burglary from inside the museum was broadcast by the French News Network BFMTV network (archived here). Thieves collected the ladder past Stolen Moving’ truck, using cutting machines, broke the window of the first gallery containing the jewelry.
They ditched the diamond- and emerald-studded crown as they fled the ladder and counted themselves on scooters, but they made eight pieces of jewelry worth an estimated $102 million.
