A new lens for Employee Health Policy Business Bazaar introduces AI-powered Smart Health Face Scan AiSHA

December 16, 2025, Gurugram: Policybazaar for Business has launched AiSHA, the industry’s first AI-enabled Smart Face Scan and Health Assistant to its corporate clients that brings a new layer of protective, real-time health information to India’s corporate life and group insurance ecosystem. Using best-of-breed technology, AiSHA empowers staff to capture clinically important data through a 30-second smartphone scan that makes daily health monitoring effortless and data-driven.
AiSHA uses remote photoplethysmography (rPPG), a non-contact technology that shows small changes in blood flow to the face with any smartphone camera. With one quick scan, employees can view vital signs such as heart rate, heart rate variability (HRV), respiratory rate, SpO₂, blood pressure, stress index, facial expression, and mood, turning early health awareness into a daily practice instead of a once-a-year check-up.
What sets the platform apart is its ability to evolve. AiSHA will be gradually developed using advanced technology to interpret more health indicators. The following sections will provide non-invasive readings of hemoglobin, vascular health and age, perfusion index, derma, dental and oral examinations. This is expected to evolve to the level of early detection of conditions such as jaundice and cataract to better prevent and reduce claims of worsening diseases.
Sajja Praveen Chowdary, Head, Business Policybazaar, said, “AiSHA marks a defining moment for business health in India. Previously, business health benefits were largely managed back-to-back with hospital response after illness occurred, and basic wellness activities offline. We have been making efforts to move the system towards prevention through integrated OPD policies and health solutions through our insurance partners. With AiSHA’s expected prevention goal, it is expected to have greater agility. provide employees with an always-on, data-backed view about and their general health, allowing for early identification of when a doctor’s visit may be needed. Early detection and timely intervention have been shown to consistently reduce the length of hospitalization and, in some cases, avoid hospitalization altogether. This is expected to help organizations manage claims more effectively.”
Along with the immediate priority, AiSHA provides personal lifestyle guidance, stress and sleep information, chronic conditions tracking, maternity and child care trips, doctor consultation and lab integration, creating a comprehensive preventive care plan.
For insurance companies, AiSHA opens up a more accurate understanding of employee health at a time when rising claims rates and changing disease patterns are challenging traditional underwriting. With continuous, consent-driven data, insurers can assess risk more accurately and support employers with targeted interventions that can prevent avoidable hospitalizations.
The launch reinforces PBFB’s long-standing focus on reshaping the way organizations, employees and insurers engage with health and advance the ecosystem towards smarter, data-led customer service.
