Aims to Emphasize What Digitally Competent Leaders Want

The Asian Institute of Management (AIM) said on Monday that rising leaders with artificial intelligence (AI) and cybersecurity skills brows the grogs of leadership that are preventing businesses from functioning well in the digital ERA.
“Now we have restructured (plans) to deal with the changes we are facing in society and to deal with the changes we are seeing in our aircraft,” director of education Philip Kwa told reporters in a roundtable discussion.
“It is very important that our courses are restructured at a certain level to ensure that they meet the needs of the industry,” he added.
According to the 2025 Cisco AI Reilunce Index, about 12% of businesses in the Philippines are considered highly prepared for AI adoption.
As the demand for new technologies continues to grow, data from a survey conducted by PWC Philippines in collaboration with the Management Association of the Philippines (CEOS) has revealed that AI plans, and 68% of CEOs have clear applications in their business plans.
The study added that 82% of surveyed leaders plan to invest in AI for their employees, 78% in automation, and 63% in advanced technology.
With continuous technological change and development, the objective knows that there is a ‘critical shortage’ of leaders with fluency in AI and cybersecurity.
To face this challenge, it is the objective that has been restructured with its two postgraduate programs – Master in Data Analytics (MDA) and Master in Cybersecurity (MCS) in the Master in Cybersecurity Management (EMCMS), respectively.
“What we always aim to achieve is that we create dynamic leaders who are good and able to integrate technology, the creation of businesses that are available now,” aims the great marketing and recruitment manager Alodia C. Hernaez.
“And that perfect combination of both technology and business is something that was demonstrated in both of these programs that we responded to today,” he added.
The institute said graduates of the Maida program are expected to master AI and lead “continuous, AI-driven transformation” in their organizations.
Other key program topics include programming basics and vibe coding with AI, business analytics, data visualization and business intelligence storytelling, AI and data, and emerging technologies.
“The Maida program emphasizes practical deployment, business strategy, and communication and technical expertise to create professionals who can take advantage of business challenges,” Kenneth Co, director of the Master’s program in AI and Data Analytics Program at AIM, told Businessworld in a viber message.
Meanwhile, EMCMS aims to develop leaders who know how to make investments, assess organizational risk, and embed resilience and governance in the organization.
The program’s curriculum highlights topics in network and data security, blockchain applications, cryptocurrency, cybersecurity policy, ethics and law.
