AT&T Beach Settlement Settlement: How to file a claim before Dec. 18

If you are an AT&T customer affected by the company’s data breach in 2019 and/or 2024, then you still have time to file a class 177 class action claim. In October, the deadline for filing was extended to December 18, so it’s less than a week away.
The first high-profile breach was discovered in March 2024, after customer data appeared on the Dark Web. It was later revealed in a statement that they violated the law that stored addresses, social security numbers, and passcomes of users in the database back to 2024 and 2020 31, 2022, and Jan. 3, 2023.

Following a class action lawsuit, the courts ruled in June that the company would have to pay $177 million to affected customers in 2019 and 202. Direct payments to users found in financial losses are paid first – up to $5,000 in the first class or $2,500 in the second – depending on the company.
Now, everyone whose information is revealed is dividing the lot.
How much money is available in the AT & T settlement?
Technically, an AT&T customer who suffered proven financial loss as a result of both of these incidents would be eligible for $7,500. However, those large payments were paid early. AT&T should have contacted you directly if you were eligible, so if you think you’ve been subject to a breach but weren’t notified, you’ll want to check your spam folder. According to our partners at PCMAG, look for emails from the Kollored Settlement Administration LLC or email address [email protected].
As is often the case with these class accommodations, manage expectations. After those initial payments to customers experiencing financial losses, the remaining $177 million will be divided among a larger pool of customers.
