Barron Trump ‘helped save’ my life, says UK assault woman – National

US President Donald Trump’s son Barron called the police in London, UK, last year to report the alleged beating of a woman he said he witnessed being “beaten,” according to a document released during the trial.
Trump, 19, was on a FaceTime video call with a woman, whose name has not been released, when she said she saw a man punch her repeatedly, Snaresbrook Crown Court in London was told on Wednesday.
Matvei Rumiantsev, 22, is facing charges including assault and two counts of rape, reports The Guardian.
Rumiantsev denied the allegations and told the court that he got angry when he accused the woman of calling Trump a “lover”.

A transcript of the emergency call released by the Crown Prosecution Service on Thursday shows Trump’s call to emergency services about the alleged assault.
“I’m calling from the US, I just got a call from a girl, you know, she’s being beaten,” Trump said in a statement released by prosecutors.

“This was happening about eight minutes ago,” he continued. “I just figured out how to call someone. It’s a real emergency.”
When the operator asked Trump how he saw the attack, he said: “Uh, I got a call from him and a guy hitting him.
The driver asked: “How do you know him?”
“I don’t think these details matter, he’s being beaten, but it’s okay, I met him on social media. I don’t think that’s important,” he said.
The user asked Trump to “stop being rude” and “actually answer my questions.”
“If you want to help that person, you will answer my questions clearly and accurately,” said the manager.
After telling the participant that he did not know the name of the man who allegedly hit the woman, Trump said, “I’m sorry for being rude.”
The court heard an email response between London police investigating the allegations, asking Trump to provide a witness statement, according to the Belfast Telegraph.
Trump said he FaceTimed the woman on Jan. 18 last year and that he “didn’t expect to find out because of the time difference.”
“The phone was answered. The person who answered was a man with dark hair who was not wearing clothes. This look lasted one second … and then investigated the victim,” he said in his statement to the police on May 2.
“I had two of my friends call the Met police in the UK, even though they were in the US,” Trump said. “According to the evidence I don’t have, I was told by the victim, who I am very close to, that this person has been giving him trouble for a long time.”
Rumiantsev told the court that he spoke with Trump and the woman on the night of the alleged assault.
“He just started showing me his conversations with him. I tried to explain to him that I was upset about his conversation with Barron Trump,” he said.
The woman told the court that Trump’s call to the police helped Rumiantsev kill her.
“He helped save my life. That phone call was like a sign from God at that time,” he said, according to court documents.
