Earlier this year, my local grocery store started charging $3 per avocado. But as taxes and rising inflation have crippled consumer technology, one product category seems immune: flat screen TVs.
A few years ago, I might have been happy to find a nice 65-inch TV for under $500 on Black Friday, but now you can find great TVs all year round. As companies get better at making smaller displays, smart TVs keep getting more affordable. Still, even with those standards, this is the best of the TV department’s TVs and caught my attention.

This is one of the best legal TV deals on the market, and if you need a new TV at a price you can afford, this is going to be hard to beat.

Now, let’s be clear about what you get. This is definitely a budget TV, so you’ll have to live without a QDED or Mini display. And you’ll have to compromise a bit on sound quality (unless you invest in a soundbar to go with it). Gamers will also have to settle for a 60hz refresh rate. However, despite those tradeoffs, you’re still getting a solid Smart TV.
