Monday, January 5, is season 2, episode two. Chelsea Hamilton (RhonniRose Mantilla) asks her girlfriend Madison for medical advice. It may be about the women in the family being tested for the BRCA gene as a result of Anita Dupree’s (Tamara Tunie) cancer diagnosis.

In addition, Dr. Nicole Dupree Richardson (Daphnee Duplaix) and Dani Dupree (Karla Mosley) talk about how they both feel attracted to ex-married people, Dr. Ted Richardson (Maurice Johnson) and Bill Hamilton (Timon Kyle Durrett), when times get tough.

And this week, Ted tells Nicole that he likes to think of this as a new phase for them. She seems to be moving on, and thankfully, that’s not the case with Dana “Leslie” Thomas (Trisha Mann-Grant).

Kat’s day starts hard on Monday. This week, Chelsea tells Naomi, with Kat present, that Nicole and Dani were both waiting to get their blood. Kat snaps. She loses it and says that if she hears another word about genetic testing and lab results, she will have a complete breakup.

Tuesday, January 6, marks season 2, episode 3 of Beyond the Gates. We see Eva Thomas (Ambyr Michelle) getting closer to Isaiah, but it will be slow. Eva is very cautious, while she seems like a perfect person. After what happened to Tomas “Tom” Navarro (Alex Alegria) and how he hurt him, it’s easy to see why he’s being watched.

An old friend comes to see Anita and things turn sour. In addition, Tyrell Richardson (Jaden Lucas Miller) and his girlfriend Jessica (Camryn Jade) are facing a rocky road, which leaves Tyrell giving the attitude to the rest of the family. Vanessa McBride (Lauren Buglioli) asks Joey Armstrong (Jon Lindstrom) for something after she finds something bad.

This seems to be caused by Anita’s cancer. Vanessa runs into the casino looking teary and upset, running into Joey’s arms. She asks if someone hurt her, but Vanessa shakes her head. That’s when he tells her what happened and asks for mercy.

And this week, Ted tells Andre Richardson (Sean Freeman) that Bill needs to stay in his lane, and if he doesn’t, Andre needs to put him there. This is about Bill getting closer to Dani. While Anita was a mother in his life for a long time, she was the one who chose to break her vows and cause this situation. Bill is worried about his daughters, but that doesn’t mean he’ll get close to Dani again.

Business Proposals and Dupree Family Mardi Gras Celebration

Wednesday, January 7th season 2, episode 4 of Beyond the Gates. Vernon offers Dani some wisdom, which may be about putting Bill back in his place. Again, Joey makes Leslie a counter offer. Remember, he asked him to be the quiet money guy behind the clinic.

It’s a smart move on his part because he wants to be recognized without digging too deep into his coffers. Joey makes a proposal and says there is something tangible about him getting involved with the clinic. It would be awkward if he wanted Anita’s name on it. That would have been appropriate given her health struggles, and it would have completely pissed off Leslie.

Shanice spilled the tea as Ashley Morgan (Jen Jacob) listened. Shanice might tell Ashley about her New Year’s Eve kiss with Ted. Meanwhile, Nicole argues with Tyrell about a family event, and Samantha is upset. This is an event that takes place in Duprees.

Thursday, January 8th is season 2, episode 5. Andre tries to take Dani’s mind off things and distract him. Bradley “Smitty” Smith (Mike Manning) and Martin Richardson (Brandon Claybon) talk about what happened to Tyrell who has worked for their son.

Anita throws a big party for the extended Dupree family. He says it will be full of surprises. There will be festivities at Vernon and Anita’s place. Vernon says, “We’ll let the good times roll.” Everyone dances around the Dupree living room with hats and umbrellas.

The group consists of Martin, Smitty, Dani, Vernon, Andre, Nicole, and Chelsea. They nodded Mardi Gras, which does not begin for six weeks more. They have the King’s Cake on the table, and Anita is traditional Mardi Gras colors in the crown.

Umbrellas look like a tribute to Second Line parades. This is often associated with funerals in New Orleans where people celebrate the life of someone they have lost. It’s about turning grief and sadness into joy, which is important as Anita goes through this crisis.

Naomi relies on a friend and leans on someone, possibly Ashley. Kat and Chelsea argue, probably about the BRCA gene and testing. Additionally, Dr. Carlton Fitzgerald (Robert Christopher Riley) is there as Nicole’s shoulder to cry on.

Friday, January 9th season 2, episode 6 of Beyond the Gates. Jacob and Andre are worried about Naomi and Dani. Anita begins her chemotherapy. Martin has bad news for Vernon. Nicole and Dani’s genetic results are in. Dani talks to Nicole on the phone and asks her what her results are. There may be at least one positive BRCA gene result within a family for dramatic and educational reasons.

If we look at other spoilers for the week of the 12th to the 16th to 2026, Marcel and Leslie will hit the sheets. Ashley could be the love interest of newcomer Jordi Vilasuso, known for his role as Ray Rosales in The Young and the Restless. Nicole’s relationship with Carlton is on fire. Dani says that Andre is the genie she married and grants her all her hot desires. Andre takes pictures Mardi Gras party and tells Dani that his family can do well.

Leslie puts her hands on Marcel’s gun and taunts him across the room. Martin tells Tyrell that they are all “Team Dupree.” Shanice flirts with Ted and tells him to count her in. Also, Ben Gavin is out of the show’s closing credits, which means we’ll see less of Derek Baldwin; you may have been moved to a recurring role. This is a casting note, although there is no official word on his fate yet.
