Biopic Reintroduces The Fever Revolutionary Hero

This year, new life will be breathed into the fictional story of the mother of the Philippine Revolution – in the form of the movie “Docufintd”, Lakambi Gregoria de Jesus, That was 12 years in the making.
Known as Lakambini ng Katipunan, or the museum of the Katipunan, Gregoria de Jesus is ultimately front and center in his narrative. The film follows a slew of revolutionary era biopics focusing on male heroes such as Andres Bonifacio, Emilio Aguinaldo, Gregorio del Pilar, and Antonio Luna.
“Ang Dami Nang Pelikala Na Iba’t Iba Ang Anggulo, At Manapaisip Tayo Kung Ano Ang Totoo (There have been so many films with different angles, which make us think about the truth), “said the director of the film Arjanmar Rebetus Businessworld On the sidelines of a press conference in Quezon City.
Gregoria de Jesus married Andres Bonifacio, superior of the Katipunan and President of the revolutionary government, and they played a major role in Spain. After the assassination of Bonifacio, she married the singer, composer and all-round revolutionary, Julio Nakil.
The film includes interviews and anecdotes of grandmothers, historians and artists with an endless biographical movie shot for the first time in 2015. This makes the betting “heroes exposed” according to Mr Rebetua.
“Nag-Aalangan Ako Nung Una Kasi Ko Koo Poomma Ang writtenPero TINANGGAP ko dahil mas Makatotohanan Ito (I hesitated because writing is not my usual format, but I accepted this project because it is true in that way), “he said.
Lakambi Gregoria de Jesus He follows the titar character, also known as O Oriang, a patriot, warrior and leader who served as the keeper of Katipunan’s secrets and weapons. This film shows his persistence in dealing not only with the Spanish colonists, but also with the political rebels of his own people.
Produced by Ellen Ongkeko-Marfil and directed by Jeffrey Jeturian and Arjanmar Rebetua, the 2015 film production never caught on because it was rejected by the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) that year.
“When we lost the big budget commitment to that, it was stressful. It took 12 years because the feature film called for what I did with the fabric. So I didn’t want to do a documentary, so I didn’t want to do a documentary, so I didn’t want to have a straight book because not many people watched those. Gusto ko talaga marini ang boses ni Oriang (I really want Oriang’s voice to be heard), “said Ms. Ongkeko-Marfil.
By Mr. Rebeta’s Pitch, the first biopic narrative includes esoteric elements that transform into pitches. “That’s when I thought, ‘This is it,'” he adds.
