Bono releases ‘American Obituary’ protest song targeting Trump’s immigration policies

NEWNow you can listen to Fox News articles!
I’m sorry to inform you that Bono, the aging Irish pop star and frontman of the band U2, is here again, teaching the poor as he always does. This time, it’s about the Trump administration’s supposedly fascist efforts to arrest and deport criminal illegal immigrants.
This week, the group, which hasn’t produced a proper single since the iPod was invented, released the single “American Obituary,” which was meant to be a fiery protest anthem against President Donald Trump, but is actually as ironic as all of Bono’s angry emailed efforts of the day.

Did it happen near the tree? Did he know how to ski? And did Dr. Does Seuss know that Bono is raiding his books?

This funny character took a very difficult and strange situation in Minneapolis, where a federal agent shot and killed Good, and made it look like he was killing. However, Bono does not bother to say that Good was hitting a policeman with his car when he was shot.
Not exactly a small detail.

No, instead of anything remotely resembling the truth, Bono is fueling anger in America at the behest of billionaires who sign his checks, produce his musak, and hate Trump with the force of SpaceX’s thousandth launch.
In fact, enough is enough. It’s been 40 years since Bono explained all the reasons for being a billionaire, he was wrong about most of them, he flew in private jets while complaining about carbon emissions and he was generally annoying.
At every Clinton Global Initiative Gala, there is Bono. Every conference on global warming, every “feed the children” scam run by the UN that greatly enriches African warlords, yes, there is Bono.

It’s no stretch to say that Bono’s main job and role in the world for decades now has been to be a child of global freedom, with all the insinuations that come with it.

He is certainly not a contemporary musician in any meaningful sense of the word. People attend his shows to hear songs from the 1980s, not new ones.

That happened because nobody really wanted the latest U2 album. If people wanted it they wouldn’t give it to us, they would make us buy it.
This tells us something very important about the motivational structures that exist for our celebrities, and perhaps, why many of them, most of them, in fact, always talk about the rest of the points.

Compare Bono’s treatment to his fellow Brit pop star Morrissey, whose upcoming album “Make-up Is A Lie” took years for any record label to release, even when it was in high demand, because it tackles Islamic terrorism and defends Western values.
HOLLYWOOD’S EXCLUSIVE SILENCE ON IRAN BEYOND LIES OF A KNOWN ACTIVIST
Morrissey has never bowed to the record industry when told what to say or when to shut up. Bono lives on that knee, lives off that knee, and is probably on his way to never getting up again.
What message does this send to every musician, actor or filmmaker in the world? It says, “Push the progressive Soros agenda or else.” You can be rich and famous or you can challenge the sacred truths of the left, not both.
Bono is now trying to fly like Gen Z’s Bob Dylan, to become an important and relevant musician again. But it’s pretty obvious he’s just going on fake outrage and a cheap new ballad.
PINES, PLATITUDES AND SILENCE: HOLLYWOOD’S HOLLOW ANSWER TO GOOD AFFAIRS
In the name of love, I am asking Bono to finally shut the hell up. We can all make our own political decisions with or without you, and honestly, after decades of your extraordinary exposure, the latter would be better.

The protest music of the 1960s was important because it was natural. It was a loud episode of that culture itself. Bono’s neoliberal reformation is no match for the fiery anger, Palestinian flags, and Black Bloc Antifa workers of the anti-government riots of 2026.

His song is nothing but a puff piece.
For whatever reason, for 40 years, Bono has been made pop culture’s pope, its moral arbiter and yardstick. He’s been bad about it, and it’s time for his hot streak to end.
