Candace Cameron Bure is raising the alarm about what she sees as a growing disconnect in modern relationships.
Bure, 49, admitted how much has changed in the modern dating scene since he found her so happy, but was able to offer advice based on her own children’s love experiences.
“What I believe is lost today is human connection because of our phones, because of social media, because of dating apps,” Bure said during the “Candace Cameron Bure Podcast” in an interview with Madison Prewett, a “Bachelor” alum. “And I’m not saying those aren’t great tools. I know a lot of people who have met on dating apps or, like you, on a dating app.”
“One is not going to drop by your front door like an Amazon package,” he said. “So you have to put yourself out there and not hide behind your phone or screen or be afraid to have a real conversation with someone so you can talk to them on the phone and not just text.”

Bure said he has seen a growing trend of men being afraid to talk to or be close to women in today’s dating world.
“I just found out that people, I’ve also seen it in men, I hate to say it, but I found out that there are many boys who I feel are afraid to talk to women,” he explained. “And then the women just wait when they leave, ‘Hey, do you want to come over or anything, ask me to dance or ask for my number to go get coffee or whatever.’ And people are just scared.”
Bure encouraged people “to be willing to put yourself out there, talk to people in person, and even if maybe your conversation starts over text, quickly transition to the phone or in person.”

The “Full House” star went on to offer tips and tricks for modern dating, including putting yourself in places where you think the type of person you want to date will be. “That’s another key,” Bure explained. “Find other community groups with like-minded people.”
He also emphasized that long distance relationships can work.
“Don’t panic. Because if it’s meant to be, one of you could end up moving,” he said. “And that’s all right, but don’t be afraid of that effort. I actually think it makes it more fun.”

Bure and Valeri Bure, who married in June 1996, share three children: Natasha, Lev and Maxim.
The TV star is close to her children as adults because of the “strong bond” the family built when they were young.
“We developed that strong relationship when they were young and throughout their teenage years and into adulthood,” Bure explained to Fox News Digital. “And now that they’re adults … now is the time when you get to be friends with your kids. And that’s great, but it’s all about the foundation and foundation that we get to have this fruitful relationship as adults.”
