ObamaCare has failed and needs to be fixed with simple health reforms

It’s time we all admit what Americans already know: Obamacare has failed.
The Affordable Care Act, also known as Obamacare, created a program that enriched insurance companies and hospitals and took a toll on the American people. ObamaCare didn’t allow people to keep their insurance plans or their doctors, and their families didn’t save money — and neither did the federal government. Families are left with high costs and health care that does not meet their needs.
I want to tell you about a family with a health condition that shows that when I talk about health care in our country. Growing up in public housing, they rarely see a doctor. One of the children had hip disease. Their mother would drive 200 miles to the hospital and donate them to the hospital for treatment. That was my family growing up.
When I hear stories of families struggling to pay their premiums, calling for treatment because it’s too expensive, or splitting their pills in half to make them last longer, I see my mother and brother and the struggle with my family. And I see a system that has continued to fail families like mine while ruining the market for everyone else.
Longtime Obamacare critics say Trump’s plan won’t fix the flaws that killed the system

Republicans, as well as Democrats, agree: Obamacare has never made health care more affordable. I want people to be able to get affordable, accessible health care and maintain the safety net for families that Obamare is meant to be, which means we have to act.
I know we can fix Obamacare. I’ve been working with President Donald Trump and his colleagues on a bill that makes simple fixes to ObamaCare that will help families find health care that fits their needs. Under me planLet’s replace Obamacare – we’re not going anywhere. We keep the Healthcare.gov and federal exchanges, we keep protecting people with preexisting conditions, and no one will lose health care.
We simply add options and allow Americans to become consumers, making choices that work better for them and their families. That means we stop giving tax dollars to insurance companies, allow people to buy state lines and make health care transparent so that such transparent families can be seen by informed families.
Trump’s mind
Currently, families can only purchase insurance plans sold in the State in which they live. That makes no sense. If an insurance provider in Kansas offers a great plan, a family in Georgia should be able to afford it. By allowing states to enter into a system that allows sales across state lines, we are opening up the health insurance market nationwide, which encourages competition and competition to drive prices and create better choices for families.
Like shopping for clothes or groceries, you are no longer limited to the stores in your town; You have access to stores that are far away to find what you want instead of the right solution in front of you. And, we can and must do this while still protecting those with underlying conditions so that everyone is treated well.

When we stop funneling tax dollars to insurance companies and instead provide support for Trump Health families through the Trump Account – the Decisions Account – we put the power to make decisions in the hands that best fit their needs. The Americans will and so on Make better choices for their families than the government.
Then we add transparency to health care by requiring public reporting of negotiated rates, costs, and pricing for services provided in hospitals, open surgery centers, simulation centers and labs. Families will have upfn pricing on what items will cost them – a health menu – so they can make informed decisions and plan their needs.

We simply add options and allow Americans to become consumers, making choices that work better for them and their families.
We have an opportunity to make simple changes that make a difference for American families. We could force a script in Obamacare that left Americans with fewer choices, higher costs and worse outcomes, that would cut costs, adapt to their needs and promote clear results and promote clear results and promote clear results and promote clear results and promote clear results and promote clear results and promote clear results and promote clear results and promote clear results and promote clear results and promote clear results and promote. We have to get rid of the old ways ObamaCare failed and turn it into a new, open system that gives Americans the power to make purchases, just like we do with everything we buy.
Everyone knows Obamacare is a disaster. Time to fix it. We should stop politicians in Washington from making our health decisions from above and instead give Americans an open health care system where they have the freedom to get the care they need.
