The US Catholic bishops voted on Wednesday to formally announce a ban on sex-therapy treatment for French patients in Catholic hospitals.
The bishops, gathered in the writing room of the hotel of baltimore, are widely accepted in the thousands of Catholic health care centers in the country, to make the process of the US Church to deal with the US treatment options.
Bishops will have the autonomy to enact new guidelines for their dioceses.
More than one in seven patients in the US are treated each day in Catholic hospitals, according to the Catholic Health Association. In some areas, Catholic hospitals are the only treatment facilities available.

Most Catholic Health Care Institutions did not offer sex reassignment treatment, including hormonal, psychological and surgical treatments.
“As for gender endeology, I think the Church is making a strong statement here,” said Bishop Robert Barron of the Minnesota-Rochester Diocese during a public discussion of the revised guidelines.
The Catholic health organization thanked the bishops for investing more money in the new guidelines.
“Catholic providers will continue to accept those who seek medical care from us and identify as transgender,” the organization said in a statement. “We will continue to treat these people with dignity and respect, which is consistent with Catholic social teaching and our moral obligation to serve everyone, especially those who are being destroyed.”
The new orders include the first documents on gender identity from the Vatican last year and the American bishops last year.
In the doctrinal book 2023 entitled “Ethical Limits to the Technological Deception of Man,” health bishops must not change interventions, or chemicals, that aim to change the characteristics of the opposite sex, or participate in the development of those processes. “
But some parishes and priests still accept transgender Catholics, and others less so.

“Catholic teaching accepts the great dignity of all human life, and many who pass, guaranteed care is what makes life possible,” said Michael Senett, on the board of new ways, who promote the inclusion of LGBTQ + in the Catholic Church.

Catholic leaders have criticized the President’s deportation agenda, as fears of a migration crash have hit the presence of many in other regions.
The federal government earlier this year reversed the Biden administration’s order for immigration agents not to conduct enforcement activities in sensitive areas such as churches and hospitals.

“We are disturbed when we see among our people a climate of fear and anxiety regarding questions of conflict and migration,” the bishops said in a statement on Wednesday. “We are saddened by the state of modern debate and the alienation of immigrants. We are concerned about the conditions in detention centers and the lack of access to pastoral care.”
Several bishops stood up and spoke in favor of this statement during the final discussion of the afternoon.
Chicago Cardinal Blase Cupich also recommended strong language for excommunication, and other bishops agreed.
“That seems to be the main problem facing our people at this time,” he said.
The updated document now confirms that the US bishops interpret “against the excommunication of those who disagree.”
