Days of Our Lives Come and Go: 4 Shocking Shootouts, 5 Big Replays & Epic Twists to Come!

Days of Our Lives blowing fans away with big streaming news. Recruiting and shooting blood on the NBC Peacock soap opera. There are four major shootings that just happened and five more to come that will change everything Days.

From Chad DiMera (ex-Billy Flynn) to Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) and Rachel Black (Alice Halsey) to Arianna Horton (Marissa Reyes), we’ll dive into all the ups and downs. Days of Our Lives and something coming out any day now.

Greatest Days of Our Lives Shooting After Holiday Hiatus

So, there was a holiday break from the series where they took a few weeks off to film over Christmas and New Years. And when they returned, the four actors had pink slippers waiting for them. They were dismissed suddenly.

They haven’t had so many shootings since the March 2023 controversy of Albert Alarr when Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker), Gabi Hernandez (ex-Camila Banus), Belle Black (Martha Madison), Shawn-Douglas Brady (Brandon Beemer), and Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin), to name a few, were affected.

Not all were completely evicted. But some are brought down to repeat and decide they can’t do it and leave. Some have since come back, especially after Albert Alarr himself was fired under a cloud of accusations and allegations of inappropriate behavior towards female cast members.

Carson Boatman and Raven Bowens Cut by Peacock Soap DOOL

However, this time, four were expelled: two women and two men. Carson Boatman was cast as well as Raven Bowens and, of course, new parents Johnny DiMera and Chanel Dupree.

In addition, Tate Black actor Leo Howard and Holly Jonas actress Ashley Puzemis were also axed. They also play teen scene couple Tate and Holly. Therefore, some of the four were rumored to be in the midst of contract negotiations. But it is reported that not all of them are.

Now we have to talk about what this means for the storylines and the other characters involved Days of Our Lives and how Johnny DiMera and Chanel Dupree and Tate Black and Holly Jonas will go out. We’ll get to those five big ads again in a moment. But first, we’ll talk about four recent shootings.

Possible release dates for Johnny and Chanel DiMera news

First of all, Johnny and Chanel, as you know, just got little Trey. They are expecting another child. Johnnys is worried about a high risk pregnancy. But Chanel is over the moon happy.

Johnny is also worried that Chanel’s cancer may return during the pregnancy. Because Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) warned them that they can’t see cancer. Because the same hormones, hCG, her cancer is releasing the same hormones that pregnancy is releasing.

The writers could make a really bad story to plan their exit and have Chanel die in childbirth from cancer while their child lives. Then, a distraught Johnny takes his two young children and possibly moves to Italy to be closer to his mother Sami Brady (Alison Sweeney) for moral support, childcare, and family help. This is a reasonable setting for Chanel and Johnny’s exit.

Will Johnny and Chanel move to Hollywood for a Happy Ending on Days of Our Lives?

But one of the more exciting and hopeful exits for these two, albeit a less soapy one, would be that Chanel’s pregnancy is healthy and they are leaving Salem. Because Johnny gets his dream job in Hollywood.

If you remember, Lucas Horton (Bryan Dattilo) recently mentioned that Johnny’s brother, Will Horton (Chandler Massey), is working on a new movie script and won’t be home for the holidays. So, maybe Johnny gets a job offer to work with Will. And he and Chanel go to LA. He already told Johnny that he can bake anywhere.

This will allow Johnny and Chanel to ride off into the sunset with their two children. So far, there has been no talk of recasting any of the roles. Given the 9 to 10 month tape-to-air delay, we should see Johnny and Chanel come out around November or 2026, which would coincide with her due date.

Tate Black and Holly Jonas’ DOOL future in Salem

That also means that Holly and Tate will be dating in late 2026. Right now, Holly and Tate are happy. They are in love. They navigate college life. They are also part of the active youth scene alongside Aaron Greene (Louis Tomeo), Arianna Horton, and bad girl Sophia Choi (Rachel Boyd).

This week, Arianna sees Sophia during one of her sessions The Bayview he runs away. But he doesn’t stop him. And he goes back to the mental hospital. 2026 spoilers say he will soon target Holly again.

Meanwhile, Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) wants Tate to take over the running Basic Black another day. But Tate’s college dropout—which doesn’t seem like a CEO asset—and the line may be shut down by Xander Cook (Paul Telfer) and may no longer exist despite what Maggie Horton Kiriakis (Suzanne Rogers) has promised.

Will Holly and Tate Go to Paris or Break Up?

Currently, Holly is also enjoying her job working for Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein) after taking all that vacation time to Paris to see her mother Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker), stepfather Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan), and younger brother Jude.

The easy way out for Holly and Tate is that they can take the pins and just move to Paris. Holly lost her family there and has already been adopted The Sorbonne. I’m sure Paris has a community college that a non-Tate Black student can go to or a technical school where they can learn a trade.

Or the writers can break them up. We know that soon Holly behaves like a real witch and becomes mean to both Tate and her lover Ari. It could be the madness he wants to join that makes him a bad seed.

If they break up, Tate may head to California to be with his mother, Theresa Donovan (Emily O’Brien), and Holly may head to Paris alone. As of now, there is no indication that they will re-promote Tate and Holly. But we also know that Days is a revolving door when it comes to acting. And they don’t mind changing characters willingly.

Billy Flynn Exits Days Of Our Lives As Chad DiMera Recast Begins

Speaking of postponements, there are five coming up. And that means multiple exits will happen soon with replacement actors slated for a spring 2026 debut.

We expect to see the last of Billy Flynn as Chad DiMera in the next few weeks. He started recording in The Young and the Restless in May 2025. And that means his Days exit is coming soon.

There will be a short gap before his replacement Connor Floyd starts playing as the new Chad DiMera on April 21. We know that Connor Floyd started filming Days about a month after Billy Flynn leaves, so we’ll have at least four to eight weeks of air date slots in our Chad.

New Days Faces for Thomas DiMera, Rachel Black, and Arianna Horton

And in April, we’ll get a new Thomas DiMera (Christopher Cary). But the name of the recast actor has not been confirmed yet. We don’t know if it will be the same age or if they will do SORAS. Christopher Cary has landed a job on the Amazon series and is expected to air at the same time as Chad DiMera.

And we’ll say goodbye to Alice Halsey sometime in early 2026. That role has also been redone. But there is no air date or name of his successor yet. Alice Halsey left Rachel Black’s place. Because he got a big role in Little House on the Prairie reboot.

Also, Al Calderon left the role of Javi Hernandez. His screen debut comes in May 2026. Al Calderon has a gig on an NBC comedy Wise Minds. Look for a character change in late May or early summer.

Arianna Horton Recast and Days of Our Lives Behind the Scenes Changes

Finally, we will see Arianna Horton come out Days in March of 2026. There is an unnamed reshoot coming in April 2026. This cast swap comes at the end of a one-year contract with no explanation forthcoming as to why they are recasting Arianna. But the actress is already working on new projects. There is a lot of work that comes and goes Days of Our Livesand the changes behind the executive producers that may be driving some of these changes in the cast.
