Defining moment: Trump must choose Reagan’s path, not Obama’s failure

NEWNow you can listen to Fox News articles!

One door is labeled “Truman/Reagan” and the other is labeled “Carter/Obama/Biden.”

President Donald Trump has to choose one. Again. And this time, the choice will define Trump’s place in history.

On three separate occasions, the 45th and 47th Presidents of the United States have walked through the front door.

Trump ordered the assassination of General Qasem Soleimani, the head of the Quds Force of Iran’s Revolutionary Guards Corps, on January 3, 2020.

IRAN POSES MORE DANGEROUS FACE TEST TO US THAN VENEZUELA, EXPERT

Trump followed that up with his second-term order to conduct Operation Midnight Resolve against Iran’s nuclear weapons facilities in June of last year and again with Operation Absolute Resolve to oust Venezuelan dictator Nicholas Maduro in January of this year.

President Trump braved three times and won big in the United States three times, putting America’s ban back on track.

Trump had to reimpose the US embargo in 2020 because the Iranian regime effectively outmaneuvered former President Barack Obama with the infamous “Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action” of 2015, a plan that secured Iran billions in cash, hundreds of billions in sanctions relief and a guaranteed path to nuclear weapons. It was the surrender of the Middle East to the mullahs disguised in dense language and absurd terms. But the Iranian theocracy knew they had won.

TRUMP’S LEADERSHIP CREATES ‘INSTANT OPPORTUNITY’ FOR CHANGE IN IRAN, FORMER IRANIAN POLITICAL PRISONER SAYS.

President Trump has called the JCPOA “the worst deal in history” many times, and he was right. It was the equivalent of the “Munich Pact” between Neville Chamberlain and Hitler. The damage to the world was great.

While President Joe Biden’s disastrous and tumultuous retreat from Afghanistan did not directly concern Iran, it severely damaged America’s standing in the world and defined the Biden presidency as one beset by a catastrophic failure to leapfrog.

President Trump has worked to reverse the damage caused by the JCPOA with strikes on Soleimani and Iran’s nuke facilities.

IRAN REJECTS NEW TRUMP’S WARNING OVER GOVERNMENT KILLINGS

Now, however, the Iranians are facing thousands of missiles that are already threatening American bases throughout the Middle East, Israel and our Gulf allies. The state of affairs has been fully revealed even to the opponents of Team Obama and Team Biden: The ayatollahs ordered tens of thousands of their citizens to be shot or macheted to death this January. Does anyone doubt that they will turn their missiles on American cities as soon as they develop the range? Crazy killers will kill, again and again.

Thanks to Presidents Obama and Biden, Ayatollah Khamenei and his IRGC thugs believe America is always “blinking” at the end. They still don’t believe that Trump is different from Obama and Biden. They see the one-day deployment from Trump as a brief deviation from the Obama-Biden pattern of appeasement. The Iranians are not afraid of Trump. However.

The Iranians are building large missiles with large warheads. There are more than 1,000 missiles in their arsenal, and they have ramped up the production of thousands more after Trump’s strike on their nuclear facilities last year.

IRAN RESPONDS TO TRUMP YEARS WITH RETALIATION WARNING: ‘FINGERS ON THE TRIGGER’

The Iranians are working to extend the range of their missiles. The longest range of Iranian missiles can probably reach Europe now. They will threaten the US very soon, and we don’t have Trump’s “Golden Dome” – yet.

So Trump must decide now what to do with those missiles, and the mass murderers running in Iran. Trump has ordered a massive build-up of US military equipment within striking distance of Iran, and he has deployed the defense systems we have in place to protect our bases and our allies.

Now he has to decide which door to enter.

HEGSETH SAYS WAR DEPARTMENT ‘WILL BE PREPARED TO PRESENT’ THAT TRUMP DOESN’T WANT TO FOLLOW IRAN WARNING

Truman and Reagan (and both Bushes) would order the strike.

Carter, Obama and Biden would step back and pretend they had solved the problem when, in fact, they had cut off the head of America’s blockade.

Rarely do we see such a stark choice presented to a president – a fork in his own road regarding history, and a fork in America’s road regarding its future.

Trump can be remembered as the man who brought aid to the Iranian people after nearly 50 years of fanatical dictatorship and protected America from potential threats, or as a president who stepped down more dramatically than any president before him.

On August 26, 1990, Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher spoke to President George HW Bush about Saddam Hussein’s invasion of Iraq. “This was not the time to waver,” the PM told the president.

That was probably the encouragement that was needed more than ever, as the old WWII pilot was not the type of man to back down. (HW was shot twice and went back to work after both.) But Thatcher’s line went down in history because it is both very British and very useful in many situations.

IRAN’S COLLAPSE OR SURVIVAL LINKS TO ONE CHOICE WITHIN THE REVOLUTION GUARD

It’s useful now. President Trump just can’t walk the walk no matter what the Carter/Obama/Biden door looks like. Put another way, Trump “can’t go to Obama.”

To reiterate: The election of President Trump will define his place in history. Everything else in his eight years will be down to what he decides in the near term.

Every other achievement will be secondary. All criticism will be useless when the destruction of the Iranian regime’s threat to the whole world is put on the table.

President Trump can choose to do what no other president since Jimmy Carter has dared to do: To cripple or eliminate the fanatical regime in Iran that is already working to threaten and destroy the Middle East every day and will soon be able to threaten the US if it is not stopped.

Pray you choose wisely. America’s national security and the hope of the Iranian people and the future of the Middle East depend on this decision.
