The Department of Public Works (DoGe) is no more. The move has been quietly scrapped since the departure of de facto leader Elon Musk in May, arriving seven months earlier than planned.

Reuters reports that the Office of the Chief of Staff (OPM) Scott Kupor confirmed Toge’s killing earlier this month, saying there was no “agency complicity.” Many of the Doge’s jobs have been promoted through OPM, according to documents seen by Reuters.
