DK Metcalf took to social media after his suspension ended before the playoffs

The Pittsburgh Steelers are headed to the NFL finals after a thrilling 18th Sunday finish, and one of their stars is clearly unhappy because he was not allowed to play in the team’s final regular season games due to a suspension.

DK Metcalf was suspended for two games for swiping at fans during the Steelers’ game against the Detroit Lions, and his 2025 season win came down to a 44-yard field goal by Baltimore Ravens’ Tyler Loop on Sunday night to decide who would win the AFC North and who would go home for the year.

Loop’s kick went wide right, and Metcalf will face the Houston Texans on “Monday Night Football” during the Wild Card Round.

Metcalf decided to post a skit by comedian Druski on his Instagram Story on Monday, expressing his excitement. In the skit, Druski plays an actor who has just been released from prison, which Metcalf compares favorably to his two-game suspension.

Druski meets friends again in the skit, when he says “demon at home.” Metcalf will likely feel the same way when he walks into the Steelers’ facility this week to prepare for their playoff game.

STEELERS MAKE BIG CONTENT DECISION ON DK METCALF AFTER SUSPENSION

The Steelers didn’t need to hope that Loop missed the kick Sunday night to clinch their playoff spot, as a win over the Cleveland Browns in Week 17 would have sealed the deal. But without Metcalf, Rodgers and company had a tough time against the Browns’ defense, including three passes from the four-time MVP quarterback to Marquez Valdes-Scantling at the end of the game that all went wrong in the end zone.

Steelers fans couldn’t help but wonder what would have happened if Metcalf had been the one receiving those fumbled balls like he had all season.

Instead, Week 18 was important as the Ravens defeated the Green Bay Packers and made the matchup a winner-take-all situation at Acrisure Stadium. Fortunately for Metcalf, his teammates picked him up, including Calvin Austin’s game-winning layup with 55 seconds left in the fourth quarter.

However, the Steelers were on pins and needles after reliable kicker Chris Boswell kicked the extra point, leaving the Ravens with a field goal for the trip.

Pittsburgh escaped with a win, but the challenge becomes even greater now that they will have to face the Texans, the NFL’s best defense in yards allowed per game (277.2) and second in points allowed (17.4).

Metcalf will be trusted by Rodgers and the rest of the Steelers offense to get the job done, and while he jokes a little bit, he understands the pressure he’s under coming into the playoffs.
