Now that the DCU has created a successful franchise, it’s more important than ever for the MCU to establish its own unique identity. It’s surprising though that it feels like Marvel’s next big project is borrowing heavily from one of the most iconic DC comics of all time.
New reports say so Spider-Man: Brand New Day You will have a terrible mysterious enemy of spider-man from prison, which is exactly the bane made during “Knighfall” that was held by the villain who broke the back of his crusader.

Earlier this month, it was reported that Marvel is filming a scene where Spider-man will fight some ninjas. Now, scooper Daniel Richtman (@Danielrpk on X) reports that Spider-Man: Brand New Day It will include a scene where Spidey and the pushers fight the vikes – villains controlled by Mike who are busy trying to break the scorpion out of prison. Together, these reports could spell out a conspiracy where mysterious new villains (probably Sadie snkin’s character) break the web-head’s biggest villains out of prison to create the biggest threat our hero has ever known.
As an ’80s Kid, I couldn’t help but notice how similar this basic premise was to Batman’s “Flighfall” aspect that kicked into high gear when Bane unleashed the fiery Knightlight on Arkham’s enemies. His goal was to create a kind of gauntlet through which Batman would be tested. When he was mentally and physically wasted, Bena entered the Batcave and broke Batman’s back.
Six Births?
Obviously this is only a parallel, and we don’t know why the Spider-villain breaks his enemies in prison. For that matter, we don’t even know who the villain is. They may, like bane, want to create a gauntlet of powerful enemies for this home hero to fight (like cap, he can do this all day). Or maybe they are trying to gather a group (like six sidisters!) That can fight our friendly neighbor spider-man as a group.
In any case, if Marvel borrows from this competition, they choose one of the better DC stories for inspiration. The “Knighty transplant” was fun because it forced Batman to fight the iconic villain in the background, and this approach should work well in the MCU. However, the only thing cooler than seeing Spider-Man Fight One Supervillain is seeing him fight – different Dominance, perhaps all at once.

Borrowing from “Knighfall” is also appropriate because this is one of the darkest legends of batman, one that disabled the dark knight and replaced the religious Nealot. Spider-Man: Brand New Day It is reported that it will have a more serious voice than the previous films because it will deal with the emotional breakdown of the whole world to forget who Spider-man is. In that case, a story where a villain channels their internal channels and breaks Spidey’s Rogues out of prison can create an external conflict that fuels the internal chaos of chaos.
Only time will tell how much Spider-Man: Brand New Day We’ll borrow DC’s “Knighfall” storyline, and how much of the farm will be an entirely original creation. However, it’s one thing to copy the basic idea of the story, and it’s another to copy the cool cool vibe. Except for- Brand New DAy can transform this classic DC story while delivering the original story with the heart of homecoming and the nostalgia of Can’t go back homeIts box office could end up like Batman himself: battered and broken.
