Fraudulent tactics were blamed for the campaign to delegitimize Massachusetts

The Ballot Westitive campaign seeks to end Massachusetts’ $1006 billion annual legal industry that has nothing to do with taxpayers accused of using misleading applications and tricking them into filing complaints.
But there would be little to do even if there were, because such tactics are “bait
If it is suitable for the 2026 state bavot and is approved by the majority of voters, this law will restore Markebis’ reasonable policy for the use of the elderly in Massachusetts. Medical cannabis will remain legal.
To be eligible to vote, this campaign has Dece DED. 3 to collect 75,000 valid signatures from state voters, but organizers say they plan to collect at least 100,000.
To do this, some signatures – the signatures resort to deception, according to many accounts, such as insisting on the campaign to clean cannabis does something else, such as “it tends to our streets.”
That’s what Josh Wallis, a boston-area artist from boston, heard in the sign hole outside of medford, Massachusetts, shop on Oct. 27, he told Mjbizdaily.
Finger, Wallis later filed complaints for the enforcement of local law and the division of state elections.
But as the following told him, “The meeting of the mammal signature is a free speech activity that is protected in the cell for the right time, place, and limits.”
The campaign is to make marijuana illegal and the distances themselves
Mjbizdaily Wallis shared details of the experience and similar reports with Wendy Wakeman, a Republican Party Strategist working in Staschusetts State Politics and a spokeswoman for the campaign against the law.
In an interview Thursday, Wakeman acknowledged that the campaign is using paid signature gatherers.
However, he said that the signature gatherers, like Wallis described and seen in the photos on the top posts of RedDit accused of fraudulent behavior, are volunteers and not affiliated with the campaign.
“The Committee does not support those who criticize us in any way,” he said Mjbizdaily.
“People are trained in what the application asks, and the training does not involve hyperbolic flourishes.”
“We’re comfortable saying it’s enough to say we like to decriminalize recreational marijuana, which is what the petition does. We believe there are enough people in Massachusetts willing to sign this petition.”
As for Wallis’ account, “his experience is troubling, and nothing will be encouraged or found by the committee,” Wakeman said.
‘Deperity Tactics’ Campaign is official
While the tactics are empty or pathetic, those tactics are not common, say observers, and are seen across the country in election campaigns.
Allegations of misleading or deceptive language douling bavot surrounded the rights to hustling in Nebraska last year.
But in most cases, they are legal.
In Massachusetts specifically, a high-profile 2015 Supreme Court case attacks a section of the law that made it a crime to make false statements about public office.
Cannabis is popular in Massachusetts, where 56% of voters approved legalization in 2016.
Support has only grown since then, polls suggest. A 2024 poll of registered voters found 65% in legal support.
“In the states, we’ve seen bad actors try to confuse some voters — to get them to sign petitions or vote a certain way,” said Emma Sharkey, a partner at the Washing Law Group, who often handles election cases.
“In my opinion, these actors participate in these deceitful tactics because they know they cannot win in politics.”
Who is paying for the marijuana cleanup campaign?
But the episode raises other, more important questions, viewers are told Mjbizdaily.
Central question: Who is paying for all this?
Signature paid funerals are not cheap. According to BallotDedeia, the average “cost per required signature” in the midterm elections was about $13.
The Massachusetts Recriminaning Campaign needs 74,574 valid signatures to advance to the 2026 November Ballot.
Because signatures can be verified, successful campaigns often send far more than the minimum required.
That adds to the campaign to collect signatures that can cost millions.
To him Mjbizdaily In an interview, Wakeman declined to identify any sources of campaign funds or organizations that may be helping with the recall campaign.
And that information isn’t available on Campaign Finance Disclosure Forms, which aren’t due for 2025 until January.

The latest ads, like campaign ads or other things are designed to swim as long as the effort to put in the effort is qualified to vote, it will be at a higher level, said Wakeman.
But regardless of who is responsible, allegations of misappropriation can be a campaign liability.
Voters who believe they signed the petition in error can notify local officials, who can declare the signatures invalid.
“This is voter fraud that people have to report to their town hall,” said David O’Brien, president and CEO of the Massachusetts Business Association.
And Wakeman and the campaign need to do more to stop the work, he added.
“Whether they are paid or volunteer, you have a responsibility to tell them, publicly, to stop lying to voters.”
