General Hospital: Nathan Impostor Revealed – Big Red Flags That Prove He’s A Fake!!

General Hospital reveals that since Nathan West (Ryan Paevey) is back he might not be the one and the red flags keep coming up—with another big one this week when he’s with his son James West (Gary James Fuller).
I want to talk about the big red flags that Maxie Jones’ (Kirsten Storms) impersonator raised her husband.
General Hospital: Did Peter Take Nathan?
That’s right, since the jump, Nathan hasn’t looked like himself since the moment he woke up. In addition, it seemed that he was running from someone because Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Bruening) found him after he crashed his car although she did not see his face.
Nathan returned in September 2025 and is said to have no memory of the past seven years. And it seemed that he had escaped somewhere. Then the red flags started to suggest that it might not be him.
Let’s talk about some of these BIG warning signs that it could be Peter August (Wes Ramsey) wearing a Nathan suit—or some sort of Peter because of twisted science. Let’s talk about the warning signs. I will try to do these as they happened.
Red Flag 1: Nathan Shows No Interest in What Happens to Him at General Hospital
First, there’s the fact that Lulu found Nathan in a wreck six months ago. You’re a detective, aren’t you? They look into crimes and solve things. They ask. So, why did Nathan show no interest in finding out what happened to him?
He has not been in a coma for 7 years, he is obviously healthy, soft and strong, he is not someone who has been sleeping for a long time.
Red Flag 2: Britt Appears Scared of Nathan
Second, Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) seemed afraid of Nathan when she first saw him. General Hospital. And Britt didn’t seem shocked that his brother Nathan was alive. And Britt is shocked by Nathan’s meeting with James.
That’s three red flags rolled into one. And that was the first inking that Nathan couldn’t be him, despite the DNA test—which I’ll talk about in a minute.
Red Flag 3: Nathan Broke the Chain of Custody at PCPD
The third red flag regarding Nathan concerns the PCPD in one episode back in October and another in January. Back in October, he asked Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) to reinstate him, and seemed confused about who Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) was when her name came up. But I can let it slide.
But in January, Nathan broke out of prison by removing some evidence from his eyes. Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) chewed him out when Nathan said it was a simple mistake caused by moss. But if it’s not him and it’s Peter or someone else, they don’t know police procedure.
Red Flag 4: Lulu vs Maxie situation on GH
Another red flag is the Lulu vs Maxie situation. First, Nathan never once visited Maxie in Boston when she was in a coma. Nathan then reunited with his best friend Lulu, which was a surprise. Now you might think that if it was Peter, he would be chasing Maxie.
Maybe, maybe not. Because it is possible that Peter is trying to destroy Maxie’s life and relationship in order to divorce her. In addition, Peter played Lulu in the past by encouraging her to make a disclosure to Cesar Faison (Anders Hove) and his secretive son Nathan. Meanwhile, Dante and Maxie told her not to, but Lulu did it anyway.
Also, related to that, after Lulu broke up with her and Nathan, we saw Maxie tell Lulu that Nathan seemed to be missing but Maxie thought it was because of Lulu. And this week, Maxie sleeps with Nathan for answers—she wants to know how she can beat him in six months. Yes, Maxie is right because the real Nathan probably wouldn’t have passed Maxie so quickly.
Red Flag 5: Nathan Repeated the Times Table
Then there was that sheet that Nathan had when he and Lulu were trapped in the store during a storm and Nathan scared Lulu by reciting the periodic table of elements. Nathan said his father made him hold his head when he was young.
But she was raised by Dan Reeves, the biological father of Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros), a wealthy businessman, not a scientist. At the time, Faison was into science and constantly challenged Peter to prove himself intellectually. That turned out to be a big slip on General Hospital.
Red Flag 6: Nathan Doesn’t Live With Dante
Also, Nathan didn’t get along with his best friend Dante at all. You’d think Nathan would want to spend more time with Dante after 7 years of being apart but not living together.
And back in Lulu’s case, she seemed more concerned about Maxie’s reaction to seeing Nathan than she was about Dante’s reaction. And Lulu seemed more worried about both of their reactions than Nathan, which is amazing.

Red Flag 7: Nathan Can’t Hit a Baseball
The final and most recent red flag occurred this week when Nathan was in the batting cage with his son James. We saw Nathan encouraging James who said he knew Nathan was a baseball player back in the day.
Mind you, that ball-throwing machine is set to a low speed for toddler James. And Nathan had a horrible swing and miss—he looked out of sorts, like he’d never held a bat. I saw a 95 mph pitch pass him—Nathan must have been rusty.
If your child has played little league, you probably know for a 7 year old, the auto pitch is about 30-40 mph. Not immediately. So, Nathan had to get a piece of it. But Peter, on the other hand, didn’t play little league—he didn’t have that kind of childhood and he probably doesn’t know how to hit.
Kai Taylor (Jens Austin Astrup) talked about muscle memory which is something Nathan should have had but didn’t. In fact, Kai said that Nathan was not handling the bat very well. I mean, come on. A huge obvious red flag.
How could this happen on General Hospital?
As for how this happened, first of all, I do NOT think Nathan is a partner. That’s crazy even by soap opera standards. But there are 3 other sound methods based on them GH history. First, Peter could have had plastic surgery to look like Nathan.
But with a good DNA match while he’s unconscious, I doubt it. However, Peter may have Nathan’s actual mask and after DNA testing, Peter may have switched with him and added worms to his mask to match Nathan’s car accident injuries.
Third, they may have injected Peter’s memories into Nathan and the ship is indeed dead. I’ve also seen some people on social media saying it can’t be Peter because Wes Ramsey is over Days of Our Lives right now.
But here’s the thing, Days tapes nine months before the episodes aired, so Wes was in and out Days many months ago. But all of this could play out with Ryan Paevey playing a role, especially if it’s a memory map change.
