The tools behind digital recording
Digital recording combines a small amount of technology to create the magic that it does:
Laser engraving
The laser beam is narrower, more focused, and etches inward. That means even the smallest letters or highly detailed logos are crystal clear. You can see every little line.
And because it is controlled by a laser, it can do the same thing over and over again without confusion. That way, if a company wants 30, 50, or even 150 rewards, they can repeat the same thing for all of them.
3D recording
This tech is also called subserrface engraving. Instead of drilling out, the lasers hit small points inside the crystal, called voxels, to create the design.
CAD Software
Before the laser touches the crystal, the structure is already processed in the computer. CAD software is used to map every line and curve before it actually exists.
Then the machine follows that map exactly. That’s why even the most complex designs, such as small logos, small letters, and complex patterns, come out clean when created by CAD Tech.
It’s accurate, but not in a strict way. You can actually see the care that goes into it.
