‘IT: Welcome to Derry’: all stephen’s easter eggs in episode 1

AS ONE OF THE SCHOOL POWER SUPPLIES, the Horror Master of Puplow’s body is polished with extra connections and repeatable characters.
Obviously, the new HBA It prequel, It: welcome to deryyou are not the same. We already know from the trailer that PennywiWife (Bill Skarsgård) makes a reappearance, and we know that the show depends on certain historical chapters in the books – But now, it should also be called to the Lord’s Plurality.
We’ve broken down the Easter eggs we found in the first episode below.
Is ‘it: Welcome to Derry’ based on Stephen King’s book?
Major Hanlon
As well as introducing some of the elite Delry High Schoolers, the main character in the first episode is New Town Resident Major Hanlon (Jovan Adepo). The word is apparently harmless. In King’s novel, and in the movies, Mike Hanlon is a member of the Losers Club. He is the only character who lives in Derry after winning the first round, asking to stay back in the city and write a kind of diary / history of the area.
Given that executive producer Andy Muscietti confirmed it It: welcome to dery Based on Hanlon’s connections in the novel, it seems only right that one of his relationships should be a main character in the show.
The question is, How is the great Hanlon related to Mike Hanlon? The show doesn’t make this clear yet, but it’s worth it – based on the show taking place in 1962, and the first movie taking place in the late 1980s – Major Hanlon is the right age to be Mike’s grandfather.
Top high stories
Statue of Paul Bunyan
Despite protests from residents, Derry is in the process of trying to build a statue of Paul Bunyan in Episode 1. There are billboards around town, and an article about it in the local paper.
This is the same image that was created when the cycle shown in the book / movies is wrapped around the cycle, and which comes to life loudly to chase Richie Tozier (Finn Wolfhard / Bill Hader).
Graffiti in a school toilet
When Margie (Matilda’s Lawler) drags Lilly (Clara Stack) to the school toilets for a private conversation, there is graffiti on the door that will ring a bell with King’s fans: the name “Alvin Marsh”, attacked inside the heart of love.
Alvin Marsh (Stephen Bogaert) will grow up to be the abusive and abusive father of Beverly Marsh (Sophia Lillis / jessica chastain), a basic member of the arson club in books and movies.
Turtle
Despite not going too far in the Spooler area, the turtles played a large part not inside Itbut also in the personality of the great lord (hello, Dark Tower fans). So it’s only fitting that the turtles feature heavily in episode 1 It: welcome to dery Also, from the sign outside the high school in delry they read “Bert the turtle says: Duck and the cover” from the Turtle Mascot who conveys to the students a warning of the cold war.
It’s not all, either. When the mattys (kilometers of khurdt) take over the abandoned tower where some of the boys have a base, they sell the cracked toys Jack REALTY, by giving the mattys his turtle in exchange for a rocket ship.
His response? “Turtles are lucky.”
